From May 15th to 16th, the filming journey of CCTV's nine documentaries "Wu Chengen and Journey to the West" ended successfully in Qichun. In this shooting, the film crew of six people went deep into Jinling Academy, the banks of the Yangtze River and Zhaohua Temple to explore the close connection between Qi Chun and the Ming Dynasty writer Wu Chengen's creation of "Journey to the West", and personally feel the profound historical and cultural heritage carried by this land.
At the filming site, the film crew meticulously captured every detail, which not only provided rich and authentic material for the documentary, but also perfectly integrated the cultural style of Qichun with the creative background of "Journey to the West". It is understood that the documentary "Wu Chengen and Journey to the West" has a total of 4 episodes, each episode is 50 minutes. It aims to deeply explore how Wu Chengen created the first romantic novel of gods and demons in ancient China, "Journey to the West", on the basis of his predecessors.
The documentary will focus on the origin, development, cultural origin and far-reaching impact of "Journey to the West" on the lives of Chinese people, show the cultural and spiritual connotation of "Journey to the West" from an authoritative perspective, disseminate classic works, promote traditional culture, and tell Chinese stories well. During the filming, Fang Min, deputy county magistrate, introduced the history, culture and development status of Qichun to the film crew in detail, hoping to strengthen cooperation with CCTV and jointly promote Qichun.
