According to Reuters, Dutch coach Ronald Koeman has nominated injured Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong in Germany's 30-man preliminary list for the European Championships, along with former captain Giorginho Wijnaldum.
De Jong has not played for Barcelona for almost a month due to an ankle injury, but he will have time to prove his fitness. The 33-year-old Wijnaldum has been absent from the squad for nine months since returning to the national team in March.
Striker Memphis Depay, who has made just four appearances since the 2022 World Cup in Qatar due to ongoing injuries, has also been included in Koeman's squad.

Winger Noah Lang, full-back Yurien Timber, defensive midfielder Mats Wavell and striker Joshua Zirkze were not included in the squad. Koeman will announce the final 26-man roster on May 29.
The Netherlands will kick off their Euro 2024 campaign with Poland in Hamburg on 16 June, after warm-up matches against Canada on 6 June and Iceland on 10 June. They will also play France and Austria in Group D.
