Case 1
At 14:49 on August 26, 2023, due to the sudden rainstorm at noon, the water level of Meiling Rafting Scenic Area in Wanli District, Nanchang City rose, and the water flow became more and more turbulent, resulting in tourists being trapped in the river and unable to go ashore, and the situation was critical. After the rescuers arrived at the scene, the commander immediately ordered to set up a crossing anchor point at a high place on the shore, and the rescuers carried rescue equipment to detour from the relatively gentle water flow on the side, cross to the trapped people, and use knapsack to rescue the trapped people.
After more than an hour, the 4 trapped tourists on the reef were transferred to a safe place, and at the same time, the 2 trapped tourists on the other side of the river were also safely evacuated under the guidance of the staff of the scenic spot, and 6 people were rescued.
Case 2
On July 23, 2023, affected by heavy rainfall, houses were flooded and people were trapped in Fengquan Village, Penggao Town, Economic Development Zone, Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province. When rescuers arrived at the scene, the entire village was "an ocean", with the deepest part of the water more than a meter deep. Rescuers immediately set up a cordon at the scene, carried life-saving equipment, and used assault boats to enter the village to search and rescue the trapped people.
It is understood that a total of 12 households in Fengquan Village were trapped due to the rainfall. After two hours of emergency rescue, more than 40 trapped villagers were all moved to safe locations.
