On May 15, the 360MW photovoltaic power generation project of renewable energy substitution for coal-fired captive power plant of Inner Mongolia Datang International Hohhot Aluminum Power Co., Ltd. started, marking a new breakthrough in the construction of the company's clean energy project and injecting new momentum into promoting green transformation and development.
The project adopts the mode of self-generation and self-consumption, and is located in Wushijia Town, Tuoketuo County, Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with an installed capacity of 360MW and a planned land area of about 9,500 acres, a new 220kV booster station, and a single 220kV power collection line connected to the 220kV substation of the company's own power plant with a line length of about 29km. After the completion of the project, it is expected to generate nearly 700 million kWh of electricity annually, reduce standard coal consumption by about 200,000 tons, and reduce carbon emissions by 790,000 tons.
The green power substitution project is a major breakthrough made by the company in optimizing the energy structure and exploring green transformation, which is of great significance for promoting the transformation and upgrading of enterprises, cultivating and developing new quality productivity, and promoting green development. The project optimizes the energy consumption structure of the enterprise through green electricity substitution, saves about 120 million yuan in energy consumption costs every year, and greatly reduces the overall electricity cost of the enterprise. In addition, the project will combine the flexible transformation of captive power plants to realize the full coupling of photovoltaic power generation and coal-fired captive power plants, and support the production of electrolytic aluminum by enterprises, so as to achieve the safety and stability of the overall operation and maximize the economic benefits.
