Modi has made overtures to China
Over the years, there has often been a gap in the relations between China and India, and there have been repeated confrontations on the border issue.

Indian media: Modi should admit two facts
Due to the tension between China and India, the position of mainland ambassador to India has been vacant, but on May 10, Xu Feihong arrived in New Delhi, the capital of India, to take on the important task.
Shortly after arriving in India, the Indian government sent good news that four points at the western end of the border would disengage with Chinese troops.
Obviously, India is doing this in the hope of stabilizing the border situation, which is what both China and India want, and can also promote exchanges between China and India.
