On May 17, the New Era Civilization Practice Station of Maojiaba Community, Dongxingsi Street, Ziliujing District, carried out a series of disaster prevention and mitigation publicity week activities with the theme of "Everyone Stresses Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond to Emergencies - Strive to Improve Grassroots Disaster Prevention and Avoidance Capabilities" to further popularize the emergency knowledge of the whole people and enhance the disaster prevention and control awareness of residents in the jurisdiction and the ability to respond to emergencies and escape.
During the event, property management, community staff, volunteers and resident representatives promoted disaster prevention and mitigation knowledge to residents. Broadcast disaster prevention and mitigation publicity and education films within the jurisdiction, publicize them through hanging banners and distributing publicity materials, and carry out explanations on the safety precautions of household coal, electricity, and gas, traffic safety, and hazardous chemical safety precautions, so as to improve the comprehensive ability of residents to prevent and reduce disasters.
This activity carried out a total of 1 special lecture, 1 emergency drill, distributed more than 150 leaflets, more than 100 first-aid kits, and the audience reached more than 1,000 people, creating a strong publicity atmosphere of "everyone talks about safety, everyone knows how to deal with emergencies".
The person in charge of the Maojiaba community said that the community will take this activity as an opportunity to continuously sum up experience, strengthen coordination and linkage, increase publicity and education, actively encourage and guide social forces to participate in disaster prevention and mitigation work, build a strong people's defense line for disaster prevention and reduction, and jointly protect a beautiful homeland.
