"As the number of Chancheng junior high school graduates increases year by year, the demand for places will also increase, and the supply of ordinary high school places will be tight, and it is necessary to expand the supply of ordinary high school places year by year. To this end, Chancheng attaches great importance to the expansion of ordinary high school places, and under the overall planning of the municipal education department, it plans to add about 3,300 public ordinary high school places through new renovation and expansion projects during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. The symposium revealed that in 2024, Chancheng District will actively expand the supply of high-quality places in ordinary high schools through measures such as adjusting the enrollment plan in the district, tapping potential and expanding the school, and new reconstruction and expansion, and the number of ordinary high school places will increase by 642 compared with 2023. Among them, there are 302 public high schools and 340 private high schools.
At present, Chancheng District has a total of 8 ordinary high schools, including 6 public ordinary high schools and 2 private ordinary high schools, of which the high school of foreign Chinese schools has been newly recruited this year.
The data shows that in recent years, the proportion of Chancheng high school entrance examination students admitted to ordinary high schools is more than 60%, of which public high schools are the mainstay, supplemented by private high schools. In 2024, the total enrollment plan of ordinary high schools is 5,434, of which 4,664 are planned for public ordinary high schools and 770 are planned for private ordinary high schools, and the proportion of public high schools is about 85%, which leads the city.

Huaying Primary School is expected to welcome the new year this year
The symposium revealed that this year's education funding in Chancheng District will grow against the trend. This year, Chancheng should try every possible way to ensure that the first phase of the construction project (campus construction) of the Foshan Campus of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, the primary school affiliated to Huaying School and two new public kindergartens will be put into use as scheduled, and the new projects of the Affiliated Primary School of Huijing Middle School and Jujin Primary School will be launched to ensure the supply of high-quality public places.
According to reports, at present, the construction of the primary school campus affiliated to Huaying School has been completed, and it will be officially welcomed in September this year.
In the new semester of September 2023, Chancheng ushered in the simultaneous opening of 6 schools and kindergartens, including Ludaohu School in Chancheng District, Pujun Campus of Foshan No. 9 Primary School, Tongyue Kindergarten, Dexin Kindergarten, Chengyue Kindergarten and Bailan Chunxiao Kindergarten, etc., with a total of more than 7,000 new school (kindergarten) places.
