On May 14, the People's Government of Huashan Town and Guangzhou Shishixia Ecotourism Co., Ltd. officially signed a contract to develop the Lion Gorge Ecotourism Project

The Lion Gorge Ecotourism Project is located in Shimin Village, Huashan Town, Huadu District, and is one of the key projects of Huashan Town this year.
Under the premise of protecting the natural ecological environment along the coast, based on the local natural resources and human resources, market-oriented, using modern tourism planning technology, high standards and high starting point to develop rafting activities, and strive to develop and build Shidong Reservoir rafting into a safe, exciting, novel, leisurely, rich local characteristics of modern ecological rafting activities, and finally build into one of the most distinctive comprehensive rafting resort tourism areas in Guangdong.

According to the person in charge of the project construction, the total investment of the project is 106 million yuan, focusing on the construction of "one heart, one belt and four districts".
Yixin: refers to the comprehensive service center of the Lion Gorge Ecological Scenic Spot, which integrates the visitor center, the commercial food center, the parking lot, the canyon inn and the children's water park;
One belt: refers to the jungle landscape belt that stretches for three kilometers along the Lion Gorge drifting river;
Four divisions: refers to the four subdivided functional areas of the entrance comprehensive service area of the Lion Gorge eco-tourism project, the red cultural experience area, the jungle rafting entertainment area, and the rafting comprehensive service area.

According to Wei Weigao, the chief engineer of the project, the first phase of the jungle rafting project is 2.3km long, and the overall drop is relatively uniform, and there are also 2-3 places where the naturally formed drop is relatively large, with a drop of more than 10 meters. Some places have specially designed Sandi springs, as well as bucket pools, so that everyone can truly experience the fun of rafting. At present, the project is under construction and is expected to be completed and opened to the public in August.
