According to Thai media news, on May 17, Thailand's Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Piji and Phra Brahmapundit, abbot of Wat Prayun Temple and member of the Supreme Council of the Thai Sangha, held a press conference together, announcing that on the occasion of the 72nd birthday of the 10th King Maha Vajiralongkorn, Thailand will hold the "International Vesak Day".

Thailand will host the 19th "Buddhist Path to Build Trust and Unity" ceremony from May 19-20 at Rajavidyalaya University, Maha Chulalongkorn, Wangnei District, Ayutthaya, Bangkok, the United Nations Convention Center on Amama Road, Bangkok, and Putamengtong Garden, Putamengtong District, Nakhon Pathom Province, with 3,500 monks from 73 countries expected to attend, Piji said.

In this regard, Piji invites all Thai Buddhists to play the role of hosts, apply the teachings to their daily lives, and pray for themselves and their families in this way.
