On May 16, the preliminary round of the first "Jinhai Cup" tour guide competition in Xiapu County was successfully concluded, and after fierce competition, 20 players successfully advanced to the finals.
The competition was sponsored by the Xiapu County Bureau of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Federation of Trade Unions, the Women's Federation, and the Xiapu County Committee of the Communist Youth League, undertaken by the Xiapu County Tour Guide Association and Fuxia (Fujian) Tourism Service Co., Ltd., and supported by Fujian Jinhai Tourism Investment and Development Co., Ltd. and Fujian Xinlei Industry and Trade Co., Ltd.
The competition started registration on May 7 and attracted nearly 40 contestants, including full-time and part-time tour guides from Xiapu County, scenic spot docents or cultural venue docents with docent certificates, and tourism management students from colleges and universities.
In the preliminary round, the contestants demonstrated their in-depth understanding of the main scenic spots of Xiapu and their excellent explanation ability through the explanation of the main scenic spots of their choice. After strict scoring by the judges, 20 contestants were finally determined to advance to the finals.
