The "Family Education Promotion Law", which came into effect on January 1, 2022, marks the full opening of a new era of "bringing children in accordance with the law" in mainland China, and family education has risen from "family affairs" to "state affairs". In order to enhance family happiness and social harmony, guide the society to pay attention to family, family education, and family style, strengthen family education responsibilities, and improve family education capabilities. On May 15, 2024, the Luoyuan County Legal Aid Center walked into the county family planning association to carry out a lecture on the rule of law of the "Family Education Promotion Law", and family planning representatives from all grassroots levels in the county participated in the activity.
"Family is the first classroom of life, and parents are the first teachers of children. With the economic development and social transformation, family education has exposed some problems and shortcomings....." In the lecture, lawyer Huang from the county legal aid center gave a detailed explanation to the delegates on "what is family education", "what responsibilities parents should bear", "six major contents of family education" and "nine methods of family education". It also conducts in-depth analysis of cases involving minors in judicial practice, clarifies the legal consequences that may result from improper family education, and calls on everyone to attach importance to family education, earnestly perform their guardianship and education responsibilities, and use correct thoughts, methods, and behaviors to educate minors to develop good thoughts, conduct, and habits, and at the same time pay attention to children's physical and psychological conditions, and jointly protect children's healthy growth.
Subsequently, Mr. Huang actively interacted with the representatives, answered legal questions related to minors, and put forward targeted opinions and suggestions on family education, so that the representatives could further establish a scientific concept of family education on the basis of understanding the Family Education Promotion Law, and remind everyone to carry out scientific guidance according to the age and personality characteristics of children, and respect, understand and encourage the all-round development and healthy growth of minors.

This activity effectively publicized the "Family Education Promotion Law", so that the delegates deeply understand the importance of family education and how to fulfill guardianship responsibilities in accordance with the law.
