Marriage Registration Appointment Guide
1. Make an appointment online
1. Take "Guangdong Provincial Affairs" to make an appointment for "Marriage Registration" as an example, search and log in to the "Guangdong Provincial Affairs" applet on WeChat, click on "Affairs" → "Life Affairs" section, select "Marriage" → "Marriage Registration Appointment", fill in the information according to the guidelines, and make an appointment for the outlets and processing time.
2. 2. Documents required for marriage registration

Mainland residents:
Valid household registration booklet and resident ID card (if the party concerned is a collective household registration and cannot provide the original of the first page of the household registration booklet, a copy of the first page of the household registration book with the official seal of the custodian unit and the original page of the person may be provided). Hong Kong Residents:
Valid Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents or Home Return Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Compatriots; Hong Kong Identity Card; A statement notarized by a Hong Kong-appointed attesting officer that the person has no spouse and no direct blood relationship with the other party or collateral blood relationship within three generations.
Macau Residents:
Valid Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents or Home Return Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Compatriots; Macao Resident Identity Card; A statement notarized by a notary public in Macao that the person has no spouse and no direct blood relationship with the other party or collateral blood relationship within three generations.
Taiwan Residents:
Valid Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents or other valid travel documents; A valid ID card for the person residing in Taiwan; A statement notarized by a notary public in Taiwan that the person has no spouse and has no direct blood relationship with the other party or collateral blood relationship within three generations.
Overseas chinese:
His/her valid passport; A certificate issued by a notary public or competent authority in the country of residence and certified by the embassy (consulate) of the People's Republic of China in that country that the person has no spouse and that the other party has no direct blood relatives or collateral blood relatives within three generations, or a certificate issued by the embassy (consulate) of the People's Republic of China in that country that he has no spouse and has no direct blood line or collateral blood relationship with the other party within three generations.
Relevant certificates issued by countries that do not have diplomatic relations with China shall be authenticated by the embassies (consulates) of a third country in that country and the Chinese embassies (consulates) in a third country that have diplomatic relations with that country and China, or by the embassies (consulates) of a third country in China.
Foreigner:
His/her valid passport or other valid international travel document; A certificate issued by a notary public or competent authority of the country where the applicant is located, authenticated by the embassy (consulate) of the People's Republic of China in that country or authenticated by the embassy (consulate) of that country in China, or a certificate issued by the embassy (consulate) of the country where the applicant has no spouse.
