From May 13 to 17, 2024, IFAT Munich 2024 officially opened, as one of the most influential environmental protection exhibitions in the field of environmental protection in the world, the exhibition attracted more than 3,100 exhibitors from nearly 200 countries and regions, with more than 120,000 participants.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the all-round strategic partnership between China and Germany, on May 14, the Sino-German Environmental Technology Innovation Center (WATCH e.V.) held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the German Water Association (DWA) exhibition area in IFAT Munich.

Dr.-Ing. Christian Wilhelm warmly welcomed the arrival of the Chinese delegation, he recalled the scene when the first inaugural meeting was held in Aachen, Germany in April last year, and believed that in the future, the two sides will have more cooperation opportunities and broad market prospects in environmental protection equipment, technical certification and other aspects.

Peng Yongzhen, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor at Beijing University of Technology, said that the "green" color of Sino-German cooperation is the background color, and with a series of important activities such as the German Chancellor's visit to China, Germany and Germany have become increasingly close in the field of environment. At present, the AOA and anammox oxidation processes jointly developed by China Water Environment Group have entered the application verification stage of actual engineering, and have a wide influence at home and abroad.

Hou Feng, Chairman of China Water Environment Group, said that the group has maintained close and fruitful cooperation with RWTH Aachen University, PIA and German Water Association. In the future, the Group hopes to strengthen the cooperation between Chinese and German partners in technical exchanges, equipment exchanges and personnel training with the establishment of the Sino-German Environmental Technology Innovation Center, promote trade and talent exchanges in the field of environment, and jointly promote sustainable development goals.
