Recently, through careful investigation, the Shanghai Huangpu police have cracked two cases of fraud with Internet superstition, involving an amount of more than 130 yuan.

Miss Li, who is in her early 30s this year, has a high degree of education, and loves chasing stars like many of her peers in life, and in 2021, she came into contact with an online store that sells bracelets and ornaments in a star-chasing group. In the following period, Miss Li was gradually deceived by the rhetoric of Jiang and his team members, in addition to "praying" for her favorite stars, she often confided in Jiang and others because of family and study problems, seeking comfort.
Under a series of very tempting and inflammatory words from the other party, Miss Li trusted Jiang and others, and under their "guidance", she began to buy beads and ornaments one after another, as a means to improve her fortune, and even after she was admitted to a prestigious school through personal efforts, she was promoted by Jiang and others as advertisements to solicit business. In order to deepen the control of Miss Li's thoughts, Jiang and others also fabricated lies to intimidate the parties, saying that if they did not continue to consume, something unfortunate would happen, which would be detrimental to the health of themselves and their families. Within three years, Miss Li spent more than 300,000 yuan under the bewitchment of Jiang and others.
In January this year, the criminal investigation detachment of the Huangpu Public Security Bureau discovered a fraud gang built by Zhang Moulin, Jiang and others through the implementation of Weibo drainage, editing words, maintaining customer service, forming groups and other means, and instilling superstitious ideas in the three social groups opened for a long time, and boasting to "believers" and inducing them to spend huge sums of money to buy bracelets, ornaments and other items, involving an amount of more than 120 yuan.
At the same time, the police set up a special task force to actively carry out the work of searching for victims, collecting fixed evidence, and verifying the implementation of personnel. On March 20, the Huangpu police organized police forces to go to Gansu Province and Guangdong Province to carry out a centralized network collection operation, and with the assistance of the local police, they successfully arrested 5 people including Zhang Moulin, a member of the fraud gang, and seized important evidence such as mobile phones and accounts involved in the case, and smashed the fraud gang in the whole chain.
At present, the criminal suspect Zhang Moulin and other 5 people have been taken criminal compulsory measures by the Huangpu police in accordance with the law on suspicion of fraud, and the case is being further investigated.
Hiring someone to save her boyfriend

Cai, a young woman, taught herself the so-called "astrology" knowledge on the Internet, and then left messages for others everywhere on popular short video platforms saying that she could help improve her personal fortune. During this period, Cai met Miss Xu through the Internet and added each other as social software friends.
At first, Cai received a reward ranging from 200 to 300 yuan for reasons such as personal fortune, and in September last year, Xiao Xu was depressed due to emotional problems, hoping to change his fortune, so he contacted Cai to ask to buy a pendant with a "special" effect, and Cai purchased an ordinary pendant from the Internet at a price of 960 yuan and sold it to Xiao Xu for 17,980 yuan.
It backfired, and soon Xiao Xu broke up with her boyfriend due to trivial matters, but she was unwilling, so she hoped that Cai could find a way to redeem it. Cai told Xiao Xu that he could achieve his wish in a special way, and threatened that if the victim agreed and then repented, his body would be harmed. Xiao Xu believed it was true, so he transferred 68,000 yuan to Cai. In fact, Cai did not have any special functions, but downloaded some related videos from the Internet and sent them to Xiao Xu in a confusing way.
Later, Xiao Xu and her current boyfriend had relationship problems again, and contacted the "mage" Cai again, Cai searched for relevant entry information on the Internet, and then defrauded Xiao Xu of 38,000 yuan under the guise of transfer.
During this period, Xiao Xu was unwilling to pay the fee because he was unable to pay, but Cai kept instilling the harm of canceling the "practice" halfway, so Xiao Xu took out a large amount of money from the Internet, and then asked his parents for help because he was unable to repay the online loan.
In January this year, Xiao Xu, accompanied by his parents, went to the public security organs to report the case. After receiving the report, the Huangpu police immediately launched an investigation, and after careful analysis, they finally locked up the suspect Cai, and organized police forces to arrest Cai in other provinces and cities.
At present, the criminal suspect Cai has been criminally detained by the Huangpu police in accordance with the law on suspicion of fraud, and the case is under further investigation.
