On May 9 and May 14, the Public Security Bureau of Changning County, Baoshan City, smashed a GOIP drainage gang and a "running points" money laundering gang, cracked 3 cases, arrested 8 criminal suspects, seized 8 mobile phones, 10 bank cards, 2 ID cards, and more than 300,000 yuan of funds involved in the case.
The Changning police found that some suspects undertook overseas telephone drainage business, provided assistance to overseas personnel to commit fraud, and used transfers to help criminals harbor and transfer illegal funds. After work, the situation of the people involved in the case was clarified. On May 9, 2 organizers of a telephone "drainage" gang were successfully arrested in a rental house in the urban area, and 3 card issuers were arrested.
On May 14, 2 organizers and 1 card issuer of the "running points" gang were successfully arrested in the county seat, 2 cases of covering up and concealing criminal proceeds were cracked, and 1 case of helping information network crimes was cracked.
At present, the organizers of the two gangs involved in fraud have been criminally detained in accordance with the law, and several card issuers have been administratively punished in accordance with the law, and the case is still under further investigation.
