Recently, Shenzhen Bay Customs seized two passengers who were tied to and concealed cigarettes out of the country through the exit channel of passenger inspection, and a total of 2,040 cigarettes were seized. Two passengers, a man and a woman, departed from Shenzhen Bay Port and did not declare to the customs when they passed through the customs supervision area. The two looked abnormal and walked slowly when they passed through the customs passage, and were intercepted and inspected by the customs officers on duty. After a detailed inspection, customs officers found a number of hidden cigarettes in the waist, abdomen and calves of the two passengers. After counting, a total of 2,040 cigarettes were seized.

According to Article 7 of the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on the Implementation of Customs Administrative Penalties, evading customs supervision by concealment, camouflage, concealment, false declaration or other means, transporting, carrying or mailing goods or articles that are prohibited or restricted from entering or leaving the country or goods or articles that are subject to tax payment in accordance with the law are smuggling acts and will be investigated for legal responsibility.
