In recent years, the legal aid centers at the city and district levels in Karamay have always adhered to the service concept of "providing all the assistance that should be provided, and giving preferential assistance to the people", opening up a "green channel" for migrant workers to protect their rights, simplifying the approval procedures, providing legal aid services for same-day application, same-day acceptance, same-day approval, and same-day assignment, and setting up legal aid workstations in each township and street judicial office to provide legal aid services for migrant workers nearby.
In order to further give play to the role of legal aid functions, expand the awareness rate of legal aid, truly protect the lawful rights and interests of migrant workers, and enhance the legal awareness of migrant workers. Recently, the judicial bureaus at the city and district levels of Karamay, together with legal aid lawyers, formed a legal service group to carry out the "Legal Aid into the Construction Site, the Rule of Law Warms People's Hearts" rule of law publicity activity at the construction site of Dingzun Jiayuan in Karamay District, publicizing legal aid policies and knowledge of relevant laws and regulations to migrant workers, distributing more than 80 copies of various legal publicity materials on the spot, and answering 15 legal consultations.
In the form of "publicity + Q&A + service", this activity focused on publicizing the "Civil Code of the People's Republic of China", "Legal Aid Law of the People's Republic of China", "Labor Law of the People's Republic of China", "Labor Law of the People's Republic of China" and other laws, regulations and policies closely related to the production and life of workers, popularizing common legal knowledge for migrant workers with popular language and vivid cases, and deepening their knowledge and understanding of legal aid. The legal aid service team listened patiently and answered questions on how to avoid infringement of legitimate rights and interests, how to protect their rights when they were maliciously owed wages, and promptly informed the workers that they could apply for legal aid through the "green channel" to protect their legitimate rights and interests when they encountered disputes over wage protection and claims for work-related injury insurance benefits.
