The video shows a black-brown, jelly-like, sticky mass poured out of a jar of JDB herbal tea. The person who filmed the video said it was simply not drinkable.

On May 17, the reporter contacted Mr. Liu, the person who shot the video. Mr. Liu told reporters that during dinner on May 16, his child opened a bottle of canned Jiaduobao herbal tea, and when the child was halfway through drinking, he suddenly found a foreign body in his mouth. "The child was still young, and he said that something stuck to his mouth and was afraid to drink, but luckily I took a look and poured the rest into the bowl, and I saw that there was a substance like a thick nose in it."
Mr. Liu said he opened another jar of Jiaduobao herbal tea, this time pouring out more unidentified substances.
He said that JDB herbal tea was given by relatives and friends, and the production date marked on the bottom of the jar is February 10, 2023, and the shelf life is two years, and the product has not expired.

On July 22, 2013, Mr. Zhang from Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, was having dinner at the hotel when he opened a can of JDB and poured it into a cup to drink, but he did not expect to see a mass of cotton. JDB staff said that it may be that the jar is leaking, and the sugar in the herbal tea is formed after contact with the air, not a quality problem.

According to expert analysis, the problems of JDB herbal tea may be caused by three reasons.
First of all, the problem of formula, herbal tea is different from ordinary drinks, it is processed by a variety of Chinese herbs and a small amount of sugar, when the formula ratio is inappropriate, it may produce sediment.
Secondly, there are loopholes in the production and processing process, and foreign substances may also be generated. During the processing process, herbal tea needs to go through multiple processes such as sterilization, sealing, and packaging, and in this process, foreign contaminants may be brought into production due to unstable processes and other reasons.
In addition, it may also be caused by improper storage and transportation.
