2K Games confirmed that it will unveil the next generation of its "one of the biggest and most popular series" at the Summer Game Fest on June 7. Although it was not revealed which IP the announcement could be related to, 2K had previously confirmed that it was working on new titles in the Bioshock and Brothers of the Seas (Mafia) series.
Developer Hangar 13 confirmed last year that the new Bros. game is in development, but claims that it is still "a few years away" from release. Recently, it was revealed that 2K is preparing for an announcement related to Brothers of the Seas.
Meanwhile, 2K announced in December 2019 that the new BioShock franchise had already begun production and would be developed "over the next few years." I wonder if this "one of the biggest and most popular series" will be BioShock, Brothers of the Seas or Borderlands? Or those sports games in 2K?
