The 2023 Château Blanc Red is one of the most profound wines of the vintage, standing out for its strong personality and perfect blend at such a young age. Aromas of mulberry, cloves, dark fruits, iris root and violet waft from the glass, with a medium to full bodied body, a supple and silky palate with fresh and lively fruitiness, sweet tannins and structure, and a long, fragrant finish.

James Sarklin 98-99 points

The 2023 Château Blanc Red Wine, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, crushed stone, graphite and pencil lead, is characteristic of the Cabernet Sauvignon variety, full of body and vitality, with firm, chewy and delicate tannins, reminiscent of the legendary 1983 vintage. Pierre-Olivier Clouet, winemaker at Château Cheval, said the wine was the benchmark for Château Cheval.
