May 15, 2024 is the 31st "Prevention and Treatment of Iodine Deficiency Disease" in the country, and the medical assistance team of the medical community of Jiaxiang County People's Hospital came to Wolongshan Community, Wolongshan Street, Jiaxiang County, to carry out the 2024 "Prevention and Treatment of Iodine Deficiency Disease" large-scale roving free clinic activity with the theme of "Salt Iodization to Prevent Disease, Balance Nutrition and Health".
At the site of the free clinic, experts conducted consultation, preliminary screening, diagnosis and general treatment of common and chronic diseases for the masses who came to the free clinic, distributed health information free of charge, carried out health publicity and education, popularized medical knowledge and health knowledge, and measured blood pressure, blood sugar, ultrasound examination of hepatobiliary, spleen and kidney, electrocardiogram examination and so on.
In this activity, more than 130 people received free clinics and health consultations, distributed more than 300 copies of health education materials, and measured blood pressure, blood sugar, electrocardiogram, and ultrasound of liver, gallbladder, spleen and kidney for more than 130 people, providing safe, effective and convenient basic medical and health services for the residents of Wolongshan community.
Since March 2023, the medical assistance team of the county people's hospital medical community has taken medical assistance activities as the starting point to promote the establishment of a grassroots first diagnosis, two-way referral and hierarchical diagnosis and treatment service system within the medical community, alleviate the problems of difficult, expensive and inconvenient medical treatment for the people at the grassroots level, and create a convenient and beneficial platform for patients to seek medical treatment, so that more patients can enjoy the high-quality and convenient services of higher-level hospitals at their doorsteps, and continuously improve the accessibility of rural medical services.
