The origin of Water Conservation Week
The National Urban Water Conservation Publicity Week is also known as Water Conservation Week. In order to raise the awareness of urban residents about water conservation, since 1992, the week of May 15 every year has been designated as the "National Urban Water Conservation Publicity Week". The purpose of the Publicity Week is to mobilize the general public to pay attention to water resources, create a water-saving atmosphere for the whole society, and establish the awareness of green civilization, ecological environment and sustainable development. It enables the general public to develop good water habits in their daily lives, promote the improvement of the ecological environment, the harmonious development of people and water, and jointly build a clear water home.
