On the occasion of the 25th World Metrology Day, in order to strengthen the popularization of measurement publicity and improve students' awareness of measurement, the Xiqing District Market Supervision and Administration Bureau walked into Yangliuqing No. 2 Middle School and carried out a vivid and interesting "measurement knowledge into the campus" activity class.
During the activity, the staff of the District Metrology Institute gave a professional and vivid science popularization explanation to the students on the spot around the history of metrology science, the development of modern metrology and the application of metrology verification, so that the students could realize the importance of accurate measurement in daily life. In particular, when talking about the key role played by metrology in helping the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, a key national construction project, the teachers and students present were all proud of the development of science and technology in the mainland.

Subsequently, the students came to the metrological verification project exhibition field, daily and life closely related to the pressure gauge, blood pressure monitor, fuel dispenser, glasses and other 10 items of metrological verification equipment on display, the District Market Supervision Bureau and the Municipal Institute of Metrology engineers patiently showed and explained the principle of metrological verification to the students, the charging pile detection vehicle also drove into the campus, the students were full of curiosity about the equipment on the spot, and actively asked questions to the engineers, listened carefully to the explanation, and the activity was warmly welcomed.
