Xishuangbanna, a place that we have always wanted to explore, finally the time came, and in an early summer season, we took a train to this long-awaited land. This beautiful border area in the southern part of Yunnan Province is famous for its unique rainforest landscape, colorful ethnic minority culture and unique border customs. It is like a bright pearl, embedded in the southwestern border of the motherland, attracting countless tourists to explore its mysterious and fascinating veil.
1. Experience the China-Laos Railway
Xishuangbanna is about 550 kilometers away from Kunming, and it takes nearly 7 hours to drive.
We chose to take the train from Kunming to Xishuangbanna, which is also the famous China-Laos railway, and there are several trains from Kunming to Vientiane, the capital of Laos. We also took the international train to Laos: the D87 train, which departed from Kunming at 8:08 a.m. and arrived in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, at 16:34 p.m. after nine and a half hours.
We arrived at Xishuangbanna Station at 11:24 p.m., which lasted a little more than 3 hours, and the ticket was 239 yuan.
2. Arrive at Xishuangbanna
When the train stopped at Xishuangbanna Station, we officially embarked on this trip, just got off the train at the moment, a heat wave came to the face, looked at the temperature, has reached 356 degrees, we came to this tropical impact from Kunming in all seasons like spring.
But looking up at the good weather with blue sky and white clouds, and the unique Xishuangbanna train, I was bent on checking in and nostalgic, and I forgot about the surging weather for a while.
3. Xishuangbanna Tropical Flower Garden
The transportation from the railway station to the city is very convenient, not too far, we took the Jinghong No. 7 bus, about half an hour to the destination. Looking at the different tropical scenery all the way, the fatigue of the road has been left behind.
Many people come to Xishuangbanna to know the famous attractions such as Manting Park, the Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Dai Garden, as well as a treasure-level attraction that is seriously underestimated and photographed, that is, the Tropical Flower Garden!
Xishuangbanna Tropical Flower Garden is located in the Yunnan Provincial Institute of Tropical Crop Science in Jinghong City, the capital of Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan Province, covering an area of 80 hectares, and is one of the main attractions of Xishuangbanna Scenic Area.
At present, the scenic spots that are open include the Leaf Garden, the Savanna Lawn Area, the Monument to Premier Zhou, the Tropical Palm Area, the Hanging Garden, the Fish Watching, the Tropical Fruit Germplasm Garden, the Five Trees and Six Gardens, the Science and Technology Exhibition Hall, the Brazilian Rubber Germplasm Resource Bank and other attractions.
The first stop, the Lotus Pond
This is the first scenery when you first enter the park, a huge pool is planted with lotus flowers, and the water lilies of various colors are also very beautiful.
The second stop, crape myrtle garden
Walking along the path full of crape myrtle flowers, listening to the birds' calls and smelling the flowers, there is a unique flavor.

Here can be a good embodiment of the word tropical, but also children love to see the place, there are jackfruit, dragon fruit, bananas, star fruit, mango, lotus mist and so on dozens of tropical fruits at your fingertips, it is simply mouth-watering, especially jackfruit, the tree is full of huge fruits, there are many ripe and fallen on the ground, walking in this forest, the eyes are full of jackfruit.
Walking in the garden, you can not only get in close contact with strange flowers and trees, get to know the magical world of tropical plants, see the tropical fruit garden, but also enjoy the beautiful microcosm of tropical crops, reflecting the charm of harmony between man and nature.

The ticket is 40 yuan, the battery car is 40 yuan, the battery car + ticket package is 66 yuan, and children under 7 years old are free.
