In the current changing social context, the problems faced by community governance are becoming increasingly complex and diverse. Faced with these complex challenges, community workers often feel overwhelmed. However, with the launch of the sixth phase of the Huangpu Project in March this year, this situation began to change. Under the careful guidance of academic tutors, teaching secretaries and university supervisors, the social work trainees went deep into the community, completed a detailed community diagnosis report, and formulated corresponding action plans accordingly, bringing new perspectives and solutions to community governance.
On the afternoon of May 11, the review meeting of the sixth phase of the "Huangpu Plan" community problem action plan was held in the Laoximen Street Party and Mass Service Center. The jury made professional comments and suggestions on the students' proposals.
Seven participants from the "Participatory Community Planning" workshop proposed an innovative framework for solving community governance problems such as non-motor vehicle charging, community space revitalization, garden construction, meeting room construction, and vegetable supply. They have formulated a practical action plan from the aspects of excavating space resources, building charging facilities, and creating outdoor meeting spaces. The evaluation experts suggested that in the process of project implementation, the trainees should pay attention to discovering and cultivating residents with continuous participation and strong sense of autonomy, give full play to the resources of "people", and deepen the work from three aspects: participation, closed-loop and effectiveness.
The "Community Empowerment and Co-Creation" studio focuses on the empowerment of community governance, emphasizing the ability to solve community problems by mobilizing the power of the community. The action plan of the trainees focuses on community entities such as the building management committee, volunteer team, and service team for the elderly, and plans to inject new vitality into the community and attract more diverse subjects to participate in community governance by activating resident experts and formulating team conventions. The evaluation experts suggested that the trainees should continue to improve their professional ability in the implementation of the project, and make full use of and tap the resources of the jurisdiction and surrounding areas.
The "Grassroots Whole-process People's Democracy Innovation Practice" studio focuses on the two core themes of space creation and multi-party linkage for the elderly, and uses the concept of whole-process people's democracy to carry out work from the three dimensions of mobilization, organization and supervision. The trainees explored a personalized whole-process people's democracy practice model for topics such as street corner gardens, cultural theme construction, and commercial and residential conflicts. The judges suggested that the trainees should pay attention to the three key points of the whole process, new events and solving problems when solving community problems, listen to the voices of residents more, and meet the higher expectations and requirements of residents through continuous rectification, evaluation and improvement.
"With the arrival of the implementation phase of the action plan, we look forward to seeing more community governance problems effectively solved and exploring new ways of community governance with Huangpu characteristics." According to the Social Work Department of the District Party Committee, the review meeting not only demonstrated the innovative thinking and practical results of the trainees in community governance, but also built a valuable communication and learning platform for them. In the future, the "Huangpu Plan" will continue to deepen the learning and exchange of grassroots governance based on community practice, guide the trainees to accurately identify and solve the bottleneck problems of grassroots social governance, explore efficient and sustainable solutions, and provide solid support for cultivating outstanding community governance talents and solving more community governance problems.
