I'm telling you, this year is really unusual. Originally, the biggest impression was that the place with "no impression" was all salted fish turned over and became a big top!
Needless to say, Fuzhou and Harbin, right? It was so hot that I saw that the corners of the hotel people's mouths were raised, and they never put it down.
But there is a place where there is no hot Internet stalks, and it is not much on the hot search, and it is silent, and it directly rushes to the echelon of "first-tier tourism cities".
How hot is it?
On May Day last year, the total number of tourists received ranked fifth in the country;
In November last year, a fireworks show by the river attracted nearly 100w of people, and with a subway passenger carrying intensity of 16,100 person-times/km, it surpassed Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, ranking first in the country;
During the Spring Festival holiday in 2024, the increase in urban heat will rank third in the country, second only to Harbin and Fuzhou;
Some time ago, Tongcheng released the favorite destination of the 2023 "Travel Special Forces", and it is also on the list;
……
From the capital of "Akalin Province" to a popular tourist city, I am too curious about Nanchang!
Nanchang and Changsha, the previous Internet celebrity city, actually have a lot of similarities.
There are magnificent tributaries of the Yangtze River passing through the city, you are no stranger to the landmark Orange Island on the Xiangjiang River, and you must be familiar with the landmarks on the side of the Ganjiang River, and recite the full text of Tengwang Pavilion.
They are all hot and hot places, and after actually eating, the Nanchang people's table is much more exciting than I imagined.
Even if I'm just a slightly spicy player from Haidilao, I can't deny the deliciousness of Nanchang!
There are super thick museums with "family background", but I went to Changsha mainly to see a girl (Mrs. Xin Chai), and Nanchang mainly to see a boy (Haiduhou).
In December last year, the site of the main tomb of Liu He, Marquis of Haiding, was officially opened to the public, even if you have been here before, it is worth coming again!
*One of the museums with the highest amount of "gold" in China
Similar but never the same, I went to Nanchang, I can better understand the reason why he became popular, Nanchang traffic is simply not too convenient!
The high-speed rail extends in all directions, Shanghai 3h, Hangzhou 2h, Guangzhou-Shenzhen 4h, a weekend is definitely enough to play back and forth!
No matter how far you fly, you will fly, eat the dividend of "non-tourist city", the ticket is broken all year round, even if it is a holiday, the ticket to Nanchang will not be particularly expensive.
I've been to a lot of places, but this time I was directly moved to tears by the prices in Nanchang!
Before I came, I heard a saying that if you eat a meal in Changsha, you can eat it for three days in Nanchang.
Of course, it is an exaggeration, but it is a recognized fact that the price of Nanchang is low. 3 yuan of flour, 4 yuan of meatloaf soup, a 100 yuan bill costs two days to find!
A place can become popular, and it definitely has her superiority. If you haven't paid attention to Nanchang before, today's Nanchang strategy can just give you grass.
Regarding Nanchang's eating, drinking, playing, living and traveling, I have made it clear to you.
How to live in Nanchang?
The location gives priority to the vicinity of the old city represented by Bayi Square, which is close to most of the attractions and eating streets.
If you want to pick a brand, Nanchang, as a provincial capital, has a relatively weak layout of top luxury hotels, dominated by mid-to-high-end brands such as Shangri-La, Wanda Realm and Hampton by Hilton.
Moreover, most of the newly opened brand hotels in the past two years are concentrated in Honggutan, and it takes about 20-30 minutes to take the subway to the old city.
How to eat in Nanchang?
Nanchang food, I must start a separate article! The mouth hissed but couldn't stop the chopsticks at all, Nanchang can be regarded as convincing me, I'll summarize it in the big strategy.
If you want to eat snacks, Jewelry Street is the hottest food tourist street now, the food is not unpalatable, but the price is high, and the locals will not go. Because of its proximity to the Wanshou Palace, if you are hungry when you pass by, you can buy some to satisfy your hunger.
I recommend Yangzi Lane, snacks include Meikang drinks, Zhang-style zongzi, red lantern boiled, Fuzhou soup powder, Xiaocheng baked cakes, creative Gan cuisine has two bedrooms and one living room, etc., anyway, there are Yangzi Lane in Jewelry Street.
Tuas Temple used to be famous for breakfast, but now I don't recommend it, and almost every family has a long queue, and if you go a little late, you won't be able to eat breakfast.
The three railway villages I went to are worth visiting, they are all old shops that have been open for more than ten years, there are many people but not exaggerated, basically the surrounding residents, and the taste is also reliable.
The night market on Toad Street is short, but super lively. Pinghuo, Yuzhang Pork Hand King, Yingsao Snacks, Xiangxiang Steamed Bun Shop, Sanyou Xiangji...... In fact, there is a thunderstorm, and the victory lies in the high density of food.
Chuanshan Road is also famous for eating supper, the old three, the old Nanchang small vegetable shop, the three-eyed well, and the Langzai's house...... There are many Internet celebrity stores, I recommend going at noon, there will be a lot fewer people.
I am tired of visiting the scenic spot, and I strongly recommend the provincial capital compound with the strongest literary and artistic atmosphere in Nanchang, which is a community, coffee shops, dessert shops, grocery stores, and bistro...... There are definitely more than 20 of them, and the prices are quite impressive.
How to play in Nanchang?
To refine the city of Nanchang, the essence is "one river, one floor, one event", and the main attractions are marked on the map.
With the Ganjiang River, the mother river of Nanchang, as the dividing line, the Jiangdong side and Bayi Square as the core is the old city; On the Jiangxi side, Honggutan is the core of the new urban area.
It is recommended to reserve 3 days and 2 nights for Nanchang, and I have listed a classic and not much unjust road itinerary for your reference, and the main attractions can be reached by subway. With this arrangement, even if it is the first time to come, you can also visit Nanchang comprehensively.
Day1: Shengjin Pagoda→ Wanshou Palace→ Bayi Square→ Bayi Park→ Bayi Memorial Hall→ Tengwang Pavilion→ Night Tour of Ganjiang River
Day2: Haiduhou Ruins Park→ Jiangxi Provincial Museum→ Qiushui Square & Twin Towers→ Nanchang Star
Day3: Return → too early
Rope Tower
Tickets: 50 RMB
Shengjin Pagoda has a long history, was built in the Tang Dynasty during the Tianyou period, has been spread the saying that "water and fire are both good, sitting in the river city".
With the Shengjin Pagoda as the core, it has now been transformed into a commercial district. Climb the tower to see the old town, but the entrance fee is on the expensive side.
Starting from Shengjin Pagoda, you can string together a citywalk route of old Nanchang.
Wanshou Palace
Admission: Free
Wanshou Palace was originally a well-known Taoist temple in Nanchang City, and now Wanshou Palace is newly built, which can be compared to Shanghai City God Temple, Nanjing Confucius Temple, and is the first stop for many people to travel to Nanchang.
Although it is inevitable that I will come to Wanshou Palace to visit, I don't think it is worth playing.
However, there are several small roads around Wanshou Palace, and they are all places where food is particularly concentrated. Yangzi Street, Jewelry Street, and Chuanshan Road are all within walking distance, and I have already mentioned what to eat before, so I will not repeat it here.
August 1st Memorial Hall
Admission: Free, closed on Mondays
The August 1st Memorial Hall, which I didn't expect much, was better than I expected.
The August 1st Uprising is the source of the slogan of Nanchang's "Hero City", and if you don't understand this history, you probably can't say that you have a full understanding of Nanchang.
The entire memorial hall is a special museum set up for the Nanchang Uprising, which is divided into two parts: the memorial hall and the former site of the headquarters. I suggest you come to the August 1st Memorial Hall on the first day, as a "background supplement" to Nanchang, and if you are lucky, you can also get a free explanation.
Nanchang Han Dynasty Haiyang Marquis Ruins Museum
Tickets: 60 yuan, tickets + sightseeing car 75 yuan (far away, recommended to buy)
There are very few museums like Hailunhou, and the limelight almost overshadows the provincial museum.
After all, the Marquis of Haiyang created several "bests" in one go: the largest, most complete and richest cemetery of the Western Han Dynasty, the largest number of Han Dynasty gold coins unearthed (more than the sum of the previous Han Dynasty gold coins), the earliest portrait of Confucius, and the earliest statue of the Eastern Prince......
The slogan of their museum is called "There are terracotta warriors and horses in the north, and there are marquis in the south", so you know how heavy it is, right?
The whole museum is Liu He's collection room, four words to describe, drunk gold fans!
He loves money and has unearthed more than 120 kilograms of gold; Like luxury cars, there is a burial pit of more than 20 luxury cars; Like to listen to songs, there is a full set of 14 chime clocks; I also like to read some "novels", more than 5,000 pieces of bamboo slips...... Anyway, when I visited, my mind was full of worldly desires!
We have written about the Marquis of Hailun separately before, and we have seen the tomb of the Marquis of Haidu, and found that he is the real treasure boy.
Last December, the main tomb of Liu He, Marquis of Haiding, was opened to the public for the first time, and there is even more to see, and you can even look down on the layout of the entire tomb from the observation deck!
What needs to be warned in advance is that Haiduhou is about 40 minutes' drive from the city, only 666 Road, a tourist line, and at least 2 hours there is a class, as an important attraction in Nanchang, this is not very reasonable place for me.
I recommend hitchhiking or carpooling for 30 yuan/person (can be counteroffered), which is more mobile.
If you want to come to Haiduhou, it is recommended that you set aside at least half a day.
Jiangxi Provincial Museum
Admission: Free
The two most important museums in Nanchang - Provincial Expo and Haiyang Hou can be said together.
After all, it has assumed the role of the façade of a province, and the bottom of the box in the provincial Boli is from the whole province of Jiangxi, and the Marquis of Haidun is of course there, but it only occupies the content of one of the exhibition halls.
Jiangxi is not like Shaanxi, Henan such a large cultural relics, but after the visit will definitely feel that the trip is worth it!
Jiangxi Province Bo has a total of 8 permanent exhibition halls + 3 temporary exhibition halls, the number of collections is still considerable, I recommend 3 hours to visit the base.
Focus on their bronze and ceramics, absolutely high standard!
The Oceania merchant tomb found in Nanchang is as famous as Sanxingdui in history. Celadon is not to mention, Jingdezhen in the Ming and Qing dynasties is the center of porcelain making in the country, can enter the door of the provincial museum, and there is no doubt that each piece is fine.
To sum up, if you are particularly interested in Han culture, it is definitely not a loss to go directly to the sea; If you want to have a comprehensive understanding of Jiangxi's history and culture, or if the time is relatively tight, the provincial Bo is better.
I went early in the morning when the sea was opened, as long as it was not a fine visit, and with a little effort, the two museums could also be visited in one day.
Nanchang is also an out-and-out furnace in summer, and it can be felt in the past two years that Nanchang is obviously building a label for night tour cities.
The night tour of Nanchang is in the night market represented by Toad Street and Chuanshan Road, and the second is along the Ganjiang River.
Tengwang Pavilion
Tickets: Free - 50 yuan
Whether Tengwang Pavilion looks good during the day or at night, this is a matter of opinion, and I will mainly introduce the gameplay here.
After 26 times of demolition and reconstruction, the current Tengwang Pavilion can be regarded as a new building, but this does not prevent her from having a good appearance, and it is a landmark at the riverside.
Since the beginning of this year, the north area of Tengwang Pavilion (there is an iron gate next to the south ticket gate) and the cruise ship dock area have been officially opened for free, if you just want to take a picture of the side of Tengwang Pavilion, the free area can be photographed.
*Zero yuan purchase perspective in the North District
If you want to photograph the front of King Teng's Pavilion, you still need to buy a ticket.
There are a total of three ticket gates in Tengwang Pavilion, and the east gate is the closest to the performance of "Dream Tengwang Pavilion" (168 yuan including Dengge, performance time 19:30-20:15).
If you want to recite the full text of "The Preface to the Pavilion of King Teng", you can pass the South Gate machine detection in 60 minutes, and the ticket-free activity is only for day tours.
Ganjiang River Night Tour
Tickets: 98 yuan
After His Excellency King Teng's building, walk a little way to the wharf, and follow the instructions very clearly.
Day tour (10:50-11:50, 15:50-16:50), night tour (19:00-19:50, 20:05-20:55, 21:15-22:05), fixed boat times every day, the whole journey is about 50 minutes, and there will be a commentary on board.
The skyscrapers on both sides of the Ganjiang River have been brightened, and there are LED light shows on holidays, which are coordinated with the explanation.
I love walking and dating people along the river, and the cool river breeze is a leisurely place that can be found in a city by the river.
Qiushui Square & Nanchang Star
Admission: Free/50 RMB
The other two popular attractions in Nanchang at night are in Honggutan, which is across the river from Tengwang Pavilion.
Autumn Water Square is said to have the largest group of musical fountains in Asia, with two performances a day, from 19:00 to 19:15 and 20:00 to 20:15.
To tell the truth, it is not as amazing as I imagined, our Nanchang photographer said that the fountain of Jiulong Lake will be more shocking and more technological, but it is far away.
Another night tour spot is the Nanchang Star Ferris Wheel, which is the largest in Asia and the third in the world, 20 meters higher than the London Eye, and the night view of the Ganjiang River from a condescending perspective is a must.
It takes about 30 minutes to turn around, and I don't know if Nanchang Star has a breakup spell.
If you plan to run a few more attractions in Nanchang, you can consider buying the 120 yuan "Nanchang Cultural Tourism Card".
Tengwang Pavilion Day Tour Ticket, Nanchang Star, Nanchang Sunac Park, Nanchang Ship ...... are all included.
I calculated, basically I need to go to 3 or more attractions to get back the cost, and I can add it up according to the itinerary.
Around the urban area of Nanchang, there are also scenic spots close to nature such as Meiling National Forest Park and Meihu Lake, which can be used as a backup choice when brushing Nanchang.
I lived in Meiling once, and the air was really good in the morning, but it was not necessary to come the first time.
The above strategy can be used as a reference for your first time in Nanchang, my 3 days and 2 nights are like this, and the itinerary is still very compact.
Nanchang's food is definitely a big plus for his charm value! We'll open a single article next time.
