This year, the fiery dragon banknotes were officially released, attracting many Tibetan friends and attracting more attention to other commemorative banknotes.
Among all the commemorative banknotes, one Olympic banknote with a face value of 10 yuan is the rarest and the best. With a circulation of only 6 million copies, it is the undisputed king of commemorative banknotes.
Only in May, another 10,000 consecutive Olympic banknotes appeared at the auction, the starting price was not high, a single piece was only 1,517 yuan, but there were 8,000 direct auctions, no one wanted it at all.
This commemorative banknote king is going to collapse again!
A rare Olympic banknote
In 2008, the mainland issued one Olympic banknote with a face value of 10 yuan.
It has a circulation of only 6 million copies, but the subject matter is very good, and it has been popular among Tibetan friends, and in some areas, the single sheet has exceeded 1,000 on the first day of exchange.
It's just that some big cities have only put a few thousand tickets in total, and there are long queues at exchange outlets, and many Tibetan friends have not exchanged one.
Since then, this Olympic banknote has soared, reaching a maximum of more than 7,000!
Even in previous years, a single Olympic banknote still cost more than 4,000, which discouraged many Tibetan friends.
Started to crash
It is worth mentioning that although 6 million Olympic banknotes were issued, the industry generally believes that it is less produced, about 3 million.
Since only one piece can be exchanged per person, the entire knife Olympic banknote is extremely rare.
In 2022, the price of the whole Olympic banknote is around 6,000, which is much higher than that of the loose banknote.
However, at the end of 2022, the situation began to change. Since then, the Olympic banknotes have also begun to run all the way down.
In November 2022, at the special auction of confiscated commemorative banknotes in Heilongjiang Xusheng, 10,000 serial dragon banknotes appeared, with a total starting price of 42 million, but all of them were unsold!
You know, this starting price is already much lower than the market price.
Since then, the 10,000 Olympic banknotes numbered from J03650001 to J03655000 have been lowered at regular intervals and split auctions, but they have been repeatedly unauctioned, and it will not be until November 29, 2023, when a few bundles are auctioned out at 2.312 million.
During this period, a large number of bundles of Olympic banknotes also appeared in other auctions, and when they were converted, a single piece was only more than 2,000 points, and most of them were still unsold.
So the Olympic banknotes collapsed directly.
Collapsed again
Recently, the price of Olympic banknotes is around 2100, which is already embarrassing.
What people didn't expect was that another 10,000 brand-new Olympic banknotes, starting from April, appeared in the Heilongjiang Classical Auction for confiscated Olympic commemorative banknotes.
Note that the numbers of these 10,000 Olympic banknotes are J036490001 to J03650000. It is the same number as the 10,000 Olympic banknotes that tossed around the whole year last year. Both appeared at the forfeiture auction.
In other words, one person exchanged at least 20 bundles, a total of 20,000 Olympic banknotes. In contrast, it is extremely difficult for ordinary people to exchange for 1 card.
With the experience of the last time, the starting price of this time was very low, and the converted single sheet was 2100 starting auctions, but all of them were unsold, and two more auctions were carried out afterwards, until it dropped to 1517 on May 8, and only 2000 were auctioned out at the starting price.
Another 8,000 were unsold again, and it is expected that they will continue to decline before they are auctioned. If you have friends who want it, you can also pay attention to this forfeiture auction, which is at least split into a bundle of 1,000 pieces to open the auction.
As a result, the current Olympic banknotes are extremely embarrassing, and the loose banknotes 2100 are completely unsupported. The reason is very simple, no one wants a bundle of 1517, so why do you want loose money?
What's even more terrifying is that who knows if there are more Olympic banknotes that haven't been auctioned yet. It's going to collapse again.
In just two years, the whole knife of Olympic banknotes has rushed from above 6,000 to 1,500 and no one wants it. After all, when Olympic banknotes are flowed out in bundles, they are not so scarce.
I don't know if you have ever exchanged this banknote?
