Subsequently, Gongshu District released the first batch of "Four Villas" excellent course service menus and awarded licenses to the first batch of teacher representatives.

It is reported that the "Grand Canal School for the Elderly" is a practical project for people's livelihood in Gongshu District in 2024, and the first batch of pilots has been carried out in 6 streets with better basic conditions and higher needs for the elderly, and 2-3 reserve schools have been cultivated for trial operation at the same time. Compared with the traditional education model for the elderly, the "Grand Canal School for the Elderly" has three breakthroughs: one is "embedded construction", that is, relying on the existing or under construction "Grand Canal Happy Home" service position sharing and overall use. The second is the "integrated teachers", integrating the "professional teachers" of the District University for the Elderly, Gongshu Vocational High School and the "folk talents" who are popular with the masses, and launching more than 20 "course menus" in 4 categories for the masses to "watch and order". The third is "standardized operation", taking into account the affordability of the elderly and the sustainability of the school, encouraging the school to recruit students with low fees, and implementing standardized management. Gongshu District will focus on the needs of the elderly, continue to explore in depth, and strive to create a replicable, promotable and sustainable new model of "education for the elderly".
