Wu Xianzhong, a master of traditional Chinese medicine, specializes in the treatment of gallstones (gallstones). He believes that gallstones are formed by the long-term stagnation of liver qi, the accumulation of heat by dampness, and the obstruction of dampness and heat, which causes bile to evaporate and solidify. Wu Xianzhong has cured countless patients with gallstone disease, and in clinical practice, he often uses the following two prescriptions to treat gallstones, which are summarized below for the benefit of his colleagues.

Yin Chen gallbladder soup recipe

Drug composition: 78g each of Yinchen and Desmodium, 39g of gardenia, skullcap, citrus aurantium, woody, rhubarb and bupleurum.

Usage: Put the above drugs together into the pot and add an appropriate amount of water (to the degree of the drug) decoction for 30 minutes, remove the slag and extract the juice, you can take it 3 times a day, 100ml each time.

Efficacy:

Yin Chen whole herb is used as medicine, which can prevent influenza, treat heat stroke, cold, headache, abdominal pain, vomiting, chest and diaphragm fullness, qi obstruction and food stagnation, pediatric food accumulation, abdominal distention, diarrhea, menorrhagia, collapse and leakage, skin itching and edema, etc., and the heat dissipation is more functional, especially than peppermint. It is used for the symptoms of jaundice caused by damp heat fumigation, and can be taken internally with a single flavor and a large dose of decoction. It can be used with rhubarb, gardenia and so on. If the urination is not conducive to significant, it can be compatible with Ze Yuan, Zhu Ling, etc.

Gardenia clears heat, pours out fire, and cools blood. Treatment of fever, fatigue and sleeplessness, jaundice, gonorrhea, thirst, red eyes, sore throat, vomiting blood, hemorrhage, bloody dysentery, blood in the urine, heat poisonous sores, sprains, swelling and pain.

Bupleurum is slightly cold in nature and bitter in taste. Return to the liver meridian, gallbladder meridian, and lung meridian. It has the effect of reconciling the surface and the inside, soothing the liver and raising the yang, and is a pungent and cool antidote. It is commonly used to treat colds and fevers, cold and heat exchanges, chest and flank swelling and pain, menstrual irregularities, uterine prolapse, anal prolapse, etc.;

Skullcap has the effect of soothing the liver and clearing heat; Citrus aurantium and wood incense have the effect of regulating qi and relieving pain;

Desmodium has the effect of clearing away heat and dampness, and expelling stones;

Rhubarb has the effect of conquering the li.

The above medicines can be used together to obtain the effects of clearing heat, relieving choleretic and expelling stones.

Yinchen biliary soup is very suitable for patients with liver and bile duct stones.

Medicinal composition: 12g each of Bupleurum chinensis, 12g of turmeric, 12g of citrus aurantium, 30g of desmodium, 30g of rhubarb, 18g of patchouli.

Usage: Put the above drugs together in a pot and add an appropriate amount of water to decoction for 30 minutes, remove the slag and extract the juice, you can take 1 dose a day, divided into 2 doses.

Efficacy:

In this recipe, Bupleurum has the effect of soothing the liver and regulating qi;

Desmodium has the effect of clearing away heat and dampness;

Yujin has the effect of invigorating blood and relieving pain;

Wood fragrance and citrus aurantium have the effect of regulating qi and relieving pain;

Rhubarb has the effect of conquering the li.

The combination of the above medicines can obtain the effects of soothing the liver and regulating qi, relieving gallbladder and removing stones. This formula is ideal for patients with aerobladder stagnation.
