High temperature and low pressure will cause insufficient dissolved oxygen in the water, and the fish in summer will put the oxygen chase characteristics in the first place, always looking for areas with high dissolved oxygen, choosing to fish live water is a very good choice, live water has the characteristics of high dissolved oxygen, and the water temperature will be cooler.
1. Living water
There are two directions for fishing live water, one is to fish for live water in still water, and the other is to fish for slow currents in live water, usually not fishing rapids, because common fish basically can't stay in the rapids for too long, and the nest material is also easily washed away. The best choice is live water in still water, which is much better in terms of dissolved oxygen and water temperature than still water, and is definitely a place where fish gather together. The slow flow in the living water is generally the place where the fishing channel bends, or the location of a large bay. It should be noted here that the downwind outlet location is actually living water, the wind causes the downwind outlet position to have a water flow exchange, and the water with high dissolved oxygen in the upper layer is rolled to the lower layer, so the deep water also has the characteristics of high dissolved oxygen.
Second, the water inlet
The area near the entrance is definitely a place where anglers are scrambling, and for many waters, this kind of place only appears after rain. In summer, when the water rises after the rain, the fish situation will be better, and there is often food washed down in this living water position, so it is naturally a place where the fish are piled up. Especially during the rainy season, the amount of precipitation increases greatly, so there is a saying that the more you fish, the more you fish, the more you are happy. Culverts are a special type of live water fishing spot because many water surfaces do not have this topography. If the water body has a culvert with it, then in the summer and winter are the location of the fishermen, because the water in the culvert has the characteristics of warm in winter and cool in summer, it is warmer to fish here in winter, and it is cooler to fish here in summer, so it is naturally a place where big fish like to gather together.
3. Gate and water pumping station
Some water surfaces will have sluices, pumping stations and other buildings, whether or not the water is released, it will be a must for anglers. In fact, the reason is very simple, if there is no water release, the sluices and pumping stations are not completely sealed, there are often slightly weak currents at the bottom and on both sides, and this is still a deep water terrain, so there will definitely be big fish distribution. In addition, these places are still large buildings, which tend to form shady areas, and even if they are not living water, fishing for shade is a good choice. If you release the water, you should stay away from the gate, because it is difficult to fish in the rapids, and you can also catch larger fish in the slow current area. As a rule of thumb, when the gate is released, the area near the gate is fishing, not fishing.
Fourth, near the water outlet
The outlet is a bit similar to the inlet, but it's a completely different terrain. The inlet is filled with fresh water, which carries sediment, plant debris, grass seeds, insect carcasses, etc., and is an area with high dissolved oxygen and low water temperature, muddy water, and abundant food. We all know that most fish have a habit of swimming against the current, so there are many types of fish that can be caught near the inlet. However, the outlet is different, the water from the water body carries food and sediment through here, and the phenomenon of sediment and food deposits often forms near the outlet, and the food is often buried under the sediment. In addition, the fish enter the outlet near the river, so the area where this muddy water food is buried is often only caught by carp, or yellow catfish, which prefer slow flow in muddy water.
