The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (hereinafter referred to as the "Competition") is a high-level exchange and display platform for postdoctoral innovation and entrepreneurship, an important window for attracting talents for open cooperation, and an effective channel for cultivating and selecting high-level innovative talents. This year, the competition will be held in Nansha, Guangzhou for the first time, and will be held in Nansha from June to November.
Nansha facing the world
Nansha, the heart of the world-class Bay Area. The Pearl River rises and falls, and the Bay Area rushes to the world. Nansha is located in the geometric center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, 38 nautical miles away from Hong Kong and 41 nautical miles from Macao, and is the origin of the "half-hour traffic circle" of the Greater Bay Area.
Nansha shoulders an important mission. Nansha is the only state-level new area in Guangdong Province, the largest area in the Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone, and a demonstration zone for comprehensive cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. In June 2022, the State Council issued the "Overall Plan for Deepening Comprehensive Cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in Nansha, Guangzhou", giving Nansha the important mission of building a major strategic platform based in the Bay Area, cooperating with Hong Kong and Macao, and facing the world.
In recent years, Nansha has been deepening its cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao, creating the first professional title evaluation standard system for Hong Kong and Macao engineering professionals in the country, and realizing the recognition of 146 overseas professional qualifications in six key industries. The "9 Special Zones for International Talents" have been introduced, and more than 20,000 high-level and backbone talents have gathered here. With 10,000 acres of wetlands, Nansha has been awarded the United Nations "Global Most Livable Gold Award" city, a national demonstration area for the construction of a rule of law government, and "China's happiest urban area".
Today, which has increasingly become an important pole to promote the coordinated development of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao and go to the world together, Nansha is about to usher in a global postdoctoral innovation and entrepreneurship competition, and the second Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition will set sail in Nansha, Guangzhou.
A global competition
The world-oriented Nansha and the world-oriented competition, a city and postdoctoral talents "go both ways" here. Thousands of doctors and postdoctoral fellows at home and abroad will gather on the artery of the Bay Area, which covers an area of 803 square kilometers, to start a peak showdown and discuss the sword in southern Guangdong.
The competition will start registration in June 2024 and usher in the final in November, with three major groups, including the Innovation Competition, the Entrepreneurship Competition, and the Unveiling Leader Competition. As the main carrying area of the comprehensive national science center in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Nansha Science City, the Cold Spring Science Facility, the permanent site of the Greater Bay Area Science Forum and other scientific and technological innovation carriers will be built into the best carrying place for the innovation projects and achievement transformation of postdoctoral fellows at home and abroad.
The competition is divided into 7 tracks, including a new generation of information technology, semiconductors and integrated circuits, biomedicine and health, high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials and new energy, marine research and application, and other industrial fields.

The competition includes 4 major competition areas, including Guangdong competition area (including outside the province), Hong Kong competition area, Macao competition area, and overseas competition area. We sincerely invite postdoctoral fellows at home and abroad to take advantage of the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the implementation of the "Nansha Plan" to tell their own innovation stories and go to the sea of stars together in this vibrant, energetic and dynamic fertile land for investment and industrial treasure.
