Ni Chujun, a post-95 Hangzhou girl
Arouse social concern
She is a Distinguished Researcher
He was introduced to the Ophthalmology Center of the Second Hospital of Zhejiang University
He also served as the first author

How do crossover girls grow into rising stars in scientific research?
And how to promote scientific research results
From "bookshelves" to "shelves"?
Let's learn her story!
"I'm not a particularly smart person, I'm just a hard-working person."
Ni Chujun was born in Hangzhou in 1995 and was admitted to Zhejiang University in 2014. "What attracts me most about university is that it's a gathering of great people, so that I can constantly inspire myself and get my ideas."
In the summer of 2017, Ni Chujun signed up for a more than a month-long summer research program at North Carolina State University in the United States and became interested in liquid metals. In the brainstorming and experimental practice of his mentor and teammates, a seed of scientific research germinated in Ni Chujun's heart.
In 2018, Ni Chujun successfully completed his undergraduate studies and continued to study for a master's and doctorate at Zhejiang University. She chose to join the team of Professor Xie Tao in the School of Chemical Engineering to explore shape memory materials in depth. Ni Chujun's specific research direction is the design and development of intelligent deformed polymers.
In the specific application of the paper, Ni Chujun designed the corresponding timing deformation device for dry eye syndrome, and together with the researchers, he designed a full lacrimal timed embolization through the timing characteristics, and also used the long-term stable operation window to fill the entire lacrimal duct, and set up the mechanical interlocking deformation ability to further fix it for a long time.
These techniques are expected to change the traditional deformation embolization
Uncontrollable deformation by heating,
It is easy to fall off with long-term use
In the end, after a year and a half and three manuscript returns, Ni Chujun's paper as the first author was published in Nature in November 2023. The reviewers highly affirmed the mechanism of the new memory materials described in the paper, saying that this field is an innovation in the way of thinking, and has great research space and application potential.
"This discovery seems to have been accidental
In fact, it contains its inevitability."
In the eyes of mentor Xie Tao
Ni Chujun encountered problems and continued to dig deeper,
Not satisfied with the results of superficial studies
This tenacity
It is the brightest shining point in her
In 2023, the Ophthalmology Center of the Second Hospital of Zhejiang University will introduce 4 new distinguished researchers, among which Ni Chujun is the youngest one, and she is not yet 29 years old, and she enjoys the treatment of a professor.
In the view of Professor Yao Ke, director of the Ophthalmology Center of the Second Hospital of Zhejiang University, the intelligent deformed polymer researched by Ni Chujun will bring leapfrog development and breakthroughs to ophthalmology.
Ni Chujun hopes
Through their own efforts
Apply the results of your research to modern medicine
Invest in the treatment of ophthalmic diseases
Truly let scientific and technological innovation benefit people's health
Netizen: "Other people's children"
"Beautiful and talented"!
