On May 9, the "Review and Prospect: Symposium on the 40th Anniversary of the Founding of the Folk Culture Forum" sponsored by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Chinese People's Association was held at the Home of Chinese Writers and Artists. Li Xin, member of the party group of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, secretary of the party group of the China Calligraphy Association, and vice chairman of the meeting, attended the symposium and delivered a speech. Bai Gengsheng, vice chairman of the Chinese Writers Association and consultant of the Chinese People's Association, Pan Lusheng, vice chairman of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and chairman of the Chinese People's Association, Rong Shuqin, secretary of the sub-party group of the Chinese People's Association and vice chairman of the meeting, as well as Yin Xing, Hu Yingjun, Hu Yifeng, Yuan Zhengling, Zhu Yuxi and other responsible persons of relevant parties, members of the presidium and sub-party group of the Chinese People's Association, former editor-in-chief, deputy editor-in-chief and editor of the "Folk Culture Forum", experts and scholars in the field of folklore and literature attended the symposium. Feng Jicai, honorary chairman of the Chinese People's Association, sent a video speech to the forum.

Li Xin said that over the past 40 years, the "Folk Culture Forum" has inherited the research tradition of folk literature and folklore since the May Fourth Movement, adhered to the academic bloodline of folklore research in the Yan'an period, adhered to the academic legislature tradition of the Chinese People's Association for more than 70 years, adhered to and conveyed a strong sense of social responsibility and discipline construction mission with distinctive characteristics, and deeply participated in the vigorous development of academic undertakings in mainland China and the great inheritance and practice of folklore creation. It is hoped that the Folk Culture Forum will firmly grasp the direction of the journal, always clarify the positioning of the journal, insist on improving the quality of the journal, strive to be among the ranks of international high-level academic journals, and make greater contributions to the realization of the high-quality development of Chinese folklore.
