Recently, a shocking incident occurred at Tianhe Airport in Wuhan City, Hubei Province. Two passengers actually threw coins on the tarmac to pray for blessings before boarding! According to relevant reports, the two passengers are Guo Mouping (female, 58 years old) and Chen Mouxi (female, 64 years old). The original flight was a tourist flight from Wuhan to Guiyang. However, due to the influence of feudal superstition, they used the tarmac as a wishing fountain, hoping to get good luck by tossing a coin.
The police responded quickly and placed the two offenders in public custody. According to the "Public Security Administration Punishment Law of the People's Republic of China", the actions of Guo Mouping and Chen Mouxi have constituted illegal acts of disrupting order in public places. In order to maintain public order and flight safety, the branch directly under the Airport Public Security Bureau of the Hubei Provincial Public Security Department imposed an administrative punishment of public security detention on them in accordance with the law.
The incident has once again raised concerns about aviation safety. The police gave a clear reminder that the tarmac is not a "trevi fountain", and we should not harm others and ourselves because of our personal superstitious behavior. Tossing a coin can cause the coin to be sucked in by the aircraft engine, triggering serious and dangerous consequences such as the aircraft catching fire and losing power.
