Preface
In 1955, when the military rank system was implemented for the first time in New China, the news also reached Gongdelin through the newspapers, and many irritated war criminals sat down together and talked about their ties with the Communist Party, and there was no lack of regret.
For example, the head of the military commander, Shen Zui, said a little melancholy, if I had gone to Yan'an with my first love (his first love was called Bai Yun, and he changed his name to Moye after arriving in Yan'an, and the lyrics of "Ode to Yan'an" were written by her), how could I become a general in New China.
When Han Jun on the side heard this, he immediately snorted coldly: If you want to repent of not being at the beginning, no one is as good as me. If you can become a general, then I will at least be a general.
When Han Jun just finished speaking, the whole hall laughed, but after he told his experience, everyone felt that what seemed to be arrogant just now made some sense.
So, what is the regret that Han Jun is talking about? Where did he get the confidence?
Han Jun joined the Communist Party at an early age
Han Jun was a cadet of the first phase of the Whampoa Military Academy and joined the Communist Party of China within the semester. In school, he has a very good relationship with Chen Geng, the two of them are in the same dormitory, eating, sleeping and training together.
In September 1926, in order to further cultivate Han Jun's military talent and better arm the troops led by the party in the future, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China decided to send Han Jun and Chen Geng to the Red Army University of the Soviet Union to study military affairs.
Since Han Jun is an incumbent person, he must consult the principal Chiang Kai-shek when he goes abroad. In fact, Chiang Kai-shek had long known that Han Jun and Chen Geng were members of the Communist Party, and they often organized activities at school, and there were often frictions between the two parties, which was extremely detrimental to his work, but the two sides had not yet torn their faces, so they quickly agreed to their applications.
After graduation, he secretly trained workers in Shanghai with Liu Shaoqi, Wang Ruofei, Chen Geng and others to carry out underground work.
During this period, the security work of the venue of the Fifth National Congress of the Communist Party of China was carried out by the troops led by Han Jun, and it was done very well. Han Jun's security work was done seamlessly, and was affirmed by Mao Zedong, Dong Biwu, Qu Qiubai, Yun Daiying and other delegates.
If this momentum continues, Han Jun will definitely have a place in the Communist Party of China. But why did such an important Communist Party member leave the party later?
In September 1927, the Communist Party of China decided to concentrate its forces on launching an armed uprising centered on Changsha in eastern Hunan and western Jiangxi, with Han Jun as the deputy commander-in-chief of the uprising.
However, the process of the uprising did not go well, and the first regiment was betrayed by Qiu Guoxuan's troops during the attack on Changshou Street and was forced to move. The second regiment was paralyzed and careless in Liuyang, surrounded by the enemy, and the troops were scattered. The time of the uprising of the three regiments was late, and after the uprising, it was surrounded by the enemy and had to be moved.
The rebel forces were frustrated and failed to accomplish their objectives. Chairman Mao immediately changed his plan and moved to the countryside where the enemy's ruling power was weak to preserve his strength. The rebel forces were ambushed by the reactionary army as they marched to the town of Luxi, and Han Jun was captured.
After being captured, Han Jun was imprisoned in Tongcheng Prison for half a year. Chiang Kai-shek valued his talent and promised that as long as Han Jun wrote a letter of repentance, he could ignore his past suspicions. At this time, Han Jun had lost contact with the organization, and he had a long way to go, and he didn't know where to go. Under the persuasion of many Whampoa alumni, he joined the Kuomintang.
Han Jun is indeed very talented.
Regarding Han Jun's surrender, Chiang Kai-shek said that he didn't care about his past suspicions, but he still had some reluctance in his heart. For a long time, Han Jun was mainly engaged in politics and instructors.
Later, when the all-out War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression broke out, he was arranged by Chiang Kai-shek to lead the troops to the front line, and he successively led the troops to participate in the Battle of Nanjing, the Battle of Dabie Mountain, the Battle of Wuhan, and the Third Battle of Changsha. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, he served as the commander of the 73rd Army.
The 73rd Army is one of the 10 U.S. armament reserve armies of the National Army, which shows how much attention Chiang Kai-shek attached to Han Jun. However, no matter how acetic the army is, it is no match for the PLA.
In the Battle of Laiwu in 1947, the 73rd Army was dumpled by the People's Liberation Army. Although Han Jun broke through, there was no one around him. Finally, he was captured by the People's Liberation Army at Qingshi Pass.
In his early years, Han Jun was a party member and did not reject Marxism, so he had no resistance and has always been very active in cooperating with the reform. 14 years later, he was pardoned and released from prison, and later became a member of the Hubei Political Consultative Conference, which can be regarded as finding his own party organization.
Han Jun's starting point in the Communist Party was very high, and some of his contemporaries eventually became marshals and founding generals. For example, General Tan Zheng, Tan Zhengdu at the Autumn Harvest Uprising was only a company clerk. As the deputy commander-in-chief of the uprising, Han Jun, if he hadn't left the party, how high would his achievements be?
But remorse doesn't help either. Although he has a fiery heart to serve the country, he does not have a heart that is firm in his beliefs.
