Since there is no rescue assistance around the competition bowl, once an athlete is injured or incapacitated during the competition, how to quickly transport the athlete from the complex venue to the medical rescue area is a new problem faced by the Huangpu Fire Department in emergency rescue.
In order to solve this new problem, the station fire and rescue station that undertook the duty task of this event devoted itself to "rooting" in the arena, and formed a set of combined techniques and tactics for rapid rescue through countless investigations, modification plans and simulation exercises.
The on-site firefighters were composed of six people, carrying "boat stretchers" and standing by the side of the arena at any time during the game. Once an athlete is injured and unable to move, the four commanders and fighters quickly carry the stretcher down to the bottom area of the bowl, move the injured person to the stretcher, fix it tightly and transport it to the edge of the pool, and pass it from the bottom up. The other two team members were on the side, and the six of them worked together to quickly rescue the injured people.
In order to further improve the degree of cooperation between multiple departments at the competition site, before the competition, the detachment specially cooperated with the District Health Commission to carry out on-site rescue training at the Olympic Qualifying Venue.
After hundreds of run-in exercises, the six team members cooperated tacitly and skillfully to fix, move, lift and rescue, and in the shortest possible time, transported the "injured person" to the medical rescue area through a stretcher, and all rescue procedures were completed in one go to ensure that the injured athletes left the field quickly to the greatest extent.
In the daily training and exercises, the station fire and rescue station also arranged a number of team members to participate as a reserve force, and in the official competition, with the garrison team and mobile team on duty in the venue, to deal with emergencies and make full preparations for the competition.
