In the Yintiaoling National Nature Reserve, the dove tree is fragrant and gorgeous, the branches are dancing in the wind with white flowers, and in the middle of the two huge white "petals", there is a purple "flower heart", from a distance, it looks like a white dove that stops on the tree, and the branches rest; It is like a holy fairy standing proudly among the verdant leaves, independent and free and easy.
It is understood that the dove tree is the relict species of the Tertiary paleotropical flora of the Cenozoic Era 60 million years ago, so it is known as "plant living fossil" and "green giant panda", and is a treasure among the eight national first-class key protected plants. Because the blooming flowers resemble white doves that are about to fly, the dove flowers are also called "pigeon flowers".
In recent years, Wuxi County has continuously increased the ecological and environmental protection of forests, so the community of dove tree has gradually increased in Wuxi. At present, there are more than 100 ancient trees over 100 years old in Wuxi, which are mainly distributed around the Yintiaoling National Nature Reserve.
