In the Zhangzhen Collective Forest Farm, the staff cultivated perilla seedlings while sorting out and counting the perilla harvested years ago. In March this year, this batch of perilla seeds harvested a year ago was successfully bid in the procurement bidding of a traditional Chinese medicine company, and 1,500 kilograms were delivered in April. Therefore, this year, Zhangzhen Collective Forest Farm has expanded the planting scale, which not only makes perilla seeds "out of the circle", but also pushes perilla to a wider market.

Walking into the collective forest farm of Longwan Tunzhen, cherries have begun to bear fruit. Under the forest, more than 10,000 Peking oil chickens are free to forage and walk. The Beijing oil chicken bred here is the only local chicken breed preserved in the city, with tender meat and fragrant eggs and unique flavor. In addition to breeding oily chickens, rare edible mushrooms such as red matsutake mushrooms are also grown, and bamboo sunflower is being sown. The model of "understory farming" has helped nearly 400 people increase their income.

In the collective forest farm of Liqiao Town, the harvest season is ushering in the harvest season of white spirit mushroom, king oyster mushroom and oyster mushroom, 100 acres of red pine mushroom have just been harvested, and edible mushrooms such as Ganoderma lucidum, black chicken fir mushroom, and red oyster mushroom are preparing to be planted. From 2023 to 2024, the output of edible fungi in the forest farm can reach 100,000 kilograms, and the economic benefits of the "understory edible fungi" model will exceed 500,000 yuan.
