This year, 12 May marks the 113th International Nurses Day. In order to carry forward the spirit of Nightingale and promote the better development of nursing in our county, on the afternoon of May 11, the health system of Longan County held a celebration of the "5.12" International Nurses Day and the Outstanding Nurse Award Ceremony, the theme of the event was "Developing the Nurse Team and Optimizing Nursing Services", and 53 outstanding nurses in the county were commended.

At the meeting, the leaders of the county health bureau read out the commendation document, affirmed the due contributions made by the nurses in the county's medical and health undertakings, and extended holiday greetings and high respect to the nursing workers who silently dedicate themselves in ordinary posts and save lives, and hope that they will make persistent efforts in the future work and provide satisfactory and thoughtful services for the people with exquisite nursing technology. Subsequently, five outstanding nurse representatives made typical speeches in turn, and they said that winning this honor is not only an affirmation and encouragement for their past work, but also a spur to their future work, and they will continue to stick to their nursing posts and contribute to the life and health of patients.

The outstanding nurses who were commended this time, some of them took root at the grassroots level and paid silently, some of them insisted on hard work day and night, and some rushed to the front line to save lives, they always adhered to the purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly, and worked diligently and selflessly in their respective jobs to provide patients with professional, comprehensive and meticulous nursing services.
