On May 13, the Nanjing East V field of the Beijing-Shanghai Railway was crowded, and more than 100 catenary workers from the Nanjing Maintenance Section of the Shanghai Maintenance Department of the Transportation Management Company of China Railway Electrification Bureau gathered in the stock road of the station, and completed a large-scale aerial catenary soft span replacement "operation" in 60 minutes of "skylight" time, marking the successful start of the 2024 Beijing-Shanghai Line soft span overhaul project of the Nanjing Vascular Section.

Nanjing East Railway Station is one of the 15 largest railway network marshalling stations in China, the largest double-track electrified railway hump marshalling station, freight station and hub station in East China, one of the extra-large marshalling stations with a daily office of more than 10,000 vehicles, and is known as the largest railway "train processing plant" in East China, undertaking the dismantling and marshalling tasks of four railway freight trains in Beijing-Shanghai, Ningtong, Ningqi and Ningxi.

It is understood that the replacement of soft span construction is one of the important construction projects of the catenary comprehensive overhaul project, and it is also a difficult project to be constructed. After each construction, the new equipment is put into use immediately, and there is no transition and adjustment time, which determines that the operators must complete all the new installation, demolition, adjustment, and opening work within the limited "skylight", so as to ensure that the construction can be opened immediately after the end of the operation. Secondly, the soft spanning process is more complex, the scope of construction work is wider, the workload of construction work is larger, there are more personnel and tools to participate in the operation, and the safety risk is large.

The construction is located in the marshalling yard of the busy trunk line of the Beijing-Shanghai Railway and Nanjing East Railway Station, with about 140 pairs of trains passing through each day, and there are many strands in the field, and the task of the battle is arduous. Combined with the successful replacement experience of Bengbu Station, Linchang Station and Changzhou Station, the Nanjing maintenance section has organized and held construction plan layout meetings for many times, and strictly checked the construction team formation, safety risk research and judgment, construction plan optimization, emergency plan formulation, soft span calculation and prefabrication, and the professional departments carefully sorted out the construction plan, formulated a detailed check schedule, concentrated superior forces, and selected the backbone forces with rich construction experience and high comprehensive quality to coordinate the operation under the premise of ensuring safety and quality, so as to effectively improve the "skylight" Utilization rate and construction efficiency.

On the same day, on the various strands of the station, 2 operation vehicles and 10 vehicle ladders were lined up, and dozens of "air slender men" were hung on the catenary in the air, dragging a catenary soft span of more than 30 meters from the ground to a height of 15 meters. The catenary workers climbed up and down, with a clear division of labor, tightened bolts, adjusted parameters, and replaced parts...... The movements are skillful and orderly, tense and fast weaving the railway "safety net", and the collision sound of maintenance tools, the rumble of the operation car, and the shouts of the commander echo in the station.

"For us, this is a rare 'surgery' with a large device. The skylight time is short, and every safety link must be controlled in place. Cui Pan, the person in charge of on-site construction, introduced.

At 16:30, after 60 minutes of intense construction, the operators successfully completed the overall erection of two groups of soft spans, suspension reversal, and demolition of old soft spans.

Next, this section will use 23 "skylights" to complete 45 sets of soft span replacement tasks, greatly improving the quality of power supply equipment that has been in operation for 18 years, ensuring that it is put into operation in a better state, and providing safe and high-quality guarantee for passenger travel.
