This year, the total enrollment plan of ordinary high schools in Nanhai District is 23,223, an increase of 2,753 high-quality places over last year, of which 1,141 places for ordinary high school public-funded students and 1,612 places for private students in ordinary high schools are higher than last year.
It is worth noting that this year, Nanhai District has added 3 new general high school degree enrollment schools, including Foshan Nanhai District Polytechnic Vocational School (public) with 200 students, Foshan Jingui Experimental High School (private) with 850 students, and Foshan Meilun Foreign Chinese Senior High School (private) with 80 students.
A number of public schools have increased their enrollment plans by as many as 920 students, including:

The Foshan High School Entrance Examination was changed from June 26 last year to June 30 this year. The chronological order of the physics and mathematics subjects has been adjusted. The duration of the Mathematics test has been extended from 90 minutes to 120 minutes.
There is a change in the score of the test subject
The total score was changed from 720 to 740. The two subjects of Ethics and the Rule of Law and History have been changed from 50 points to 60 points.
There are changes to the subjects of the English test
In 2024, the English listening and speaking test for the high school entrance examination will be implemented, with a score of 30 points. 120 points in English (30 points in listening and speaking + 90 points in paperwork). During the written test of the English subject, the listening part will not be tested, and the original listening time will be used to answer the questions.
There are changes to the physical education test program
Choose one of the two compulsory subjects: middle-distance running and 100-meter swimming. Increase the selection of men's pull-up events.
There are changes to the policy of accommodating borrowing and reviewing
Hong Kong and Macao health and government borrowing clauses increase review requirements: increase the provision of parent materials. Parents are required to provide: (1) Hong Kong or Macau Resident Identity Card, Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents or Residence Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, and (2) proof of paying taxes or social security in the city. If it is a double non-resident student, it is recommended to apply for a policy-based care loan for one of the parents to register in Foshan.
