Everyone talks about safety, and everyone will be able to respond to emergencies. On May 12th, coinciding with the 16th National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day, Tadpole Stave and Fengtai District Science and Technology Association jointly launched the second parent-child science check-in series of activities of "Tadpole You 'Fun' Visit", which entered the China Fire Museum, and 15 groups of families immersed themselves in various emergency evacuation scenarios, learned emergency skills, and jointly improved the ability of parents and children to respond to emergencies.

Step into the world of firefighting and recognize the ruthlessness of disasters
Walking into the preface hall, the narrator first introduced the fire sculpture column in the museum. In the meantime, you can understand the development of the construction of the fire brigade in the mainland from ancient times to the present.
In the exhibition area of common disasters and accidents, the narrator introduced the causes, hazards and cases of eight common disasters and accidents, such as fires, earthquakes, typhoons, floods, and hailstorms.
Entering the scene of the fire accident restoration, the residual burns, charred walls and broken furniture are shocking, and with the narrator's colorful narration, everyone seems to be at the fire scene, feels the huge damage caused by the fire, and learns the common fire hazards in daily life.

Simulate a disaster experience and master rescue methods
After deeply realizing the destructive power of disasters, 15 groups of families came to the simulation experience area to experience fire, storm disaster, earthquake disaster and subway fire emergency evacuation in depth, so as to understand and learn about the dangers of disasters and the correct response measures.
In the fire escape experience exhibition area, the narrator introduced the three "killers" in the fire - toxic and harmful gases, high temperature and darkness, and demonstrated the correct fire escape posture - covering the mouth and nose, lowering the body, and escaping according to the direction indicated by the safety evacuation signs.
In the storm disaster experience area, you can feel a series of processes from lightning, rain, and storm to the continuous increase of the storm from the visual, tactile, and auditory senses.
Earthquake disaster experience area. Fifteen groups of families with children walked through collapsed and inclined buildings, narrow spaces, and experienced first-hand the shaking and shaking of the earthquake in the aftershock channel, and felt the destructive power of the earthquake. The narrator explained in detail the causes of the earthquake, early warning signals and coping methods, and everyone listened carefully, and learned the correct escape posture and self-rescue and mutual rescue skills in the simulated earthquake scene.
In the fire experience theater, everyone watched the whole process of the fire accident and the fire rescue commanders and fighters going out to fight the fire, and experienced the realistic physical environment of the fire scene such as light, heat, smoke, and sound.

Immediately afterwards, I came to the subway fire experience area. The subway is one of the main means of transportation in modern cities, and this exhibition area simulates the situation of a fire in a subway train. Under the guidance of the commentator, everyone learned the subway fire emergency evacuation facilities and procedures, and participated in an emergency evacuation drill.

During the experience, the children exclaimed and asked questions from time to time. Parents also actively interacted with their children, discussed fire safety knowledge, and deeply realized the importance of fire safety.
Time is of the essence, and in the emergency treatment experience area, parents and children learn the methods of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid in the live demonstration of the docent. The narrator emphasized that when an accidental injury occurs, the most effective rescue time is only 4-6 minutes. Learning and mastering first aid methods is to build a life channel for the people around you. Afterwards, the parents also learned how to use the fire extinguisher correctly.

Learn about the history of firefighting and create a safe future together
After learning a lot of emergency avoidance skills, the group came to the theme exhibition hall on the second floor of the museum. The exhibition hall shows the continuous development and progress of typical fires, fire fighting ideas, fire management, fire prevention and extinguishing technology at different stages from ancient times to the present.
Under the guidance of the docent, everyone visited the display area of the image of the firefighter. The display of firefighter uniforms, equipment and rescue tools sparked children's interest. The photos of firefighters bravely rescuing at the fire scene also made the children have a deep respect for the work of firefighters.
In this activity, the tadpole stave focused on the "5.12 National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day", actively giving full play to the advantages of rich scientific and educational resources and perfect scientific research facilities in schools and popular science venues in the jurisdiction, and combining knowledge and fun in the way of popular science, so that the general public, especially teenagers and children, can learn something in a relaxed and happy atmosphere and stimulate their interest in exploring science.
