At first, Lao Zhang just put up a fence.

The fence is made of bamboo, and the bamboo is cleared from the bamboo forest in the community.

Lao Zhang collected the discarded bamboo, and slowly sorted out the bamboo branches of different lengths at some time or where.

He planted the bamboo branches in front of a dragon's claw locust tree and tightened it with a thin wire, and a fence appeared in the clearing.

There is also a small door.

It's simple, a little simple, but it's lovely.

You can feel that it is a long, quiet, careful stroke through a person's hand, and even if there are some flaws, you will gladly accept it and feel pleasure.

It's like the Spanish painter Francisco's "Rest on the Way to Egypt".

This subject has been painted by many great painters such as Caravaggio, Boucher, Rembrandt, Van Dyck, etc. There is no shortage of exquisite, gorgeous, and expressive, but the one who hit me repeatedly is Francisco-

It exudes a touching poetry in the ordinary simplicity.

The fence has been empty.

After a light rain in early April, a morning glory suddenly popped up on a bamboo branch.

The pale blue, with dewdrops, quietly opened.

Next to the morning glory, a dandelion came out.

Countless small umbrellas, combined to form an exquisite hollow, complex and light, like an extraterrestrial life.

A dragonfly swept past the dandelion, stopped above the fence, and then descended to hover over a foxglove plant.

Rehmannia has just bloomed two dark purple flowers, fluffy, like a small trumpet, which wakes up the whole land.

Yellow cat's ear chrysanthemum, pink sunflowers, white daisies, and lilac caryophyllus flowers are like smiling faces of children facing the sun.

Thistle and motherwort are not as beautiful as them, but they have the atmosphere of the countryside and exude an alluring wildness.

Oh my God, this clearing is alive!

On the fat leaves of the morning glory, there is a red ladybug lying on its stomach.

When I see its shiny shell, I think of the Beetle, I think of the Beatles, I think of the song "Norwegian Wood".

“And when I awoke I was alone

This bird had flown……”

The ladybug also seemed to hear the song and suddenly flew vertically. At that moment, I discovered an amazing secret: the shiny carapace was not its wings!

Its wings fold inside the carapace, and when it takes off, the carapace opens upwards like the door of a sports car, and the hidden wings stick out, much larger than its body.

And when it lands, it can actually fold its wings back like a quilt with its hind legs!

What is it that has caused such an amazing evolution?

What's even more amazing is that ladybugs and dragonflies, which you can hardly imagine as ugly, even terrifying, when they were larvae, evolved into something like this after several metamorphoses—delicate, insanely beautiful.

At this time, the dragon claw locust was still bare.

On a sunny afternoon, there is always a black stray cat lying on it, lazily enjoying a nap after dinner.

If you don't get too close, it won't even bother to open its eyes.

At the end of April, the locust is suddenly covered with leaves, lush and green, like an umbrella.

Ladybugs flew over, looking for aphids on the back of the leaves.

It is said that aphids secrete a drop of nectar every day and give it to ants who come up from under the tree.

In exchange, they are kept safe.

Now, the time has come to test the ants. They are menacing and surround ladybugs. But this guy is too smooth, how can he get his mouth out?

The ladybug didn't pay attention to this rabble, but one of the little ones actually bit its ankle.

Overwhelmed, it opened the trunk, stretched out its wings, and soared into the air.

The ant brothers beat the aphids on the backs and urged them to pay rent.

The black cat lay on the tree, looking coldly at these shrimp soldiers and shrimp generals, enjoying their own shade.

In the corner of the fence, hollyhocks bloomed.

High, big, red, purple, pink, white, and countless buds, like the pagoda candy I ate when I was a child.

The philosopher Husserl said: rose petals, milestones, human hands and love, desire or gravitation, they are all equally important.

He may not know that the layered torn hollyhock petals are also important.

When we were children, if we cut our hands, we tore open the hollyhock petals and stuck them on the wound.

At that time, it was a natural band-aid.

When I was young, I was resistant to those rich, intense beauty.

But this weekend, I've changed.

From afar, I saw that the fence had become a sea of flowers.

The moon season and the roses bloom one after another, so dense, so unrestrained, so exaggerated.

This baroque ostentation makes one forget the sorrow.

Since youth can't be kept, it's better to dance, it's better to sing, it's better to laugh.

The humble and clumsy bumblebee pounces on the stamens and greedily feeds on the pollen.

The blackbird, which is not good-looking, stands on the fence and chirps gently.

People came to the garden to admire, be surprised, and admire.

Aunt Lu said that the person who takes care of the garden is called Lao Zhang, a retired senior worker from the cable factory.

His wife is gone.

He politely declined the children's invitation and lived alone in the neighborhood.

He got up early every day and went fishing in the Jialu River. In the evening, feed a few black cats in the small square next to the garden.

Whenever he appeared, the black cats would come running from the bamboo forest, from the bushes, from the walls and under the cars, in all directions.

Aunt Lu raised a golden retriever and came to join in the fun on time. It was honest, just lying on its side, looking at it with a frown.

If you grab food, you will be yelled at by a cat and hit on the head by Aunt Lu.

Lao Zhang never spoke, just laughed, did not praise or criticize, and allowed everything to happen.

This spring, his youngest daughter got married. He also found an old wife, who looks quite young.

I often inadvertently walk into many alleys and communities in Zhengzhou, those quiet corners and corners, and encounter many such small gardens, those people who silently exude fragrance.
