General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that calligraphy is a treasure of Chinese culture, containing a lot of spiritual things, which must be inherited and carried forward. Chinese calligraphy not only carries the unique modeling symbols and pen and ink rhythm of Chinese characters, but also integrates the unique way of thinking, personality spirit and temperament of Chinese.
In order to thoroughly study, publicize and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, cultivate and practice the core values of socialism, carry forward the excellent traditional culture, and enrich the spiritual and cultural life of the masses, from December 2023, the calligraphy public welfare class of "Calligraphy Rhyme Inheritance, Hanmo Fragrance" hosted by the Taijiang District New Era Civilization Practice Center and undertaken by the Civilization Office of the District Party Committee, the District Financial Media Center, the District Education Bureau and the New Era Civilization Practice of various streets will be officially opened. This series of calligraphy public welfare classes lasts for one year, one session per month, with four classes per period, aiming to allow calligraphy lovers to further improve their theoretical accomplishment, broaden their horizons, and inherit and carry forward traditional Chinese culture with pen and ink through the learning of basic knowledge of calligraphy, stroke writing, knot rules, calligraphy appreciation, etc. Up to now, a total of 5 phases have been carried out, with a total of 22 activities and 10 online live broadcasts.
In order to exchange and display learning results, expand the coverage of activities, enhance the influence of activities, attract more people to join the calligraphy team, and stimulate the enthusiasm of the whole society to pay attention to traditional culture, the Taijiang District New Era Civilization Practice Center will open an exhibition of the phased achievements of the calligraphy public welfare classroom of "Calligraphy Rhyme Inheritance and Fragrance of Hanmo" in the hall on the first floor of the Taijiang District Cultural Activity Center from May 10 to June 9, 2024. Cadres and employees of relevant units, trainees and calligraphy enthusiasts went to the scene to observe the works and appreciate the charm of calligraphy together.
The activity uses pen and ink as the medium to cultivate sentiment, and uses writing as the path to understand the true meaning of life, ignite the love of the residents in the jurisdiction for traditional Chinese culture, further meet the spiritual and cultural needs of the masses, enrich the cultural life of the masses, improve the cultural literacy of the masses, and promote the practice of civilization in the new era.
