Blitz has introduced a new bolt-on turbocharging system kit for the Suzuki Jimny (JB64W). The Blitz will be sold as a set and in two sets, including a specially tuned ECU, at prices of 209,000 yen (about 97,000 yuan) and 242,000 yen (about 110,000 yuan) respectively, including tax. Sales will begin tomorrow, May 15.
A bolt-on turbocharger is a type of turbocharger designed for a specific vehicle that can be easily installed by simply replacing the original turbo with this turbocharger for a quick boost and performance.
The system is based on the newly developed 2940JMY-100R turbocharger, which combines a compressor impeller and turbine blades designed specifically for Blitz. This newly developed turbocharging package achieves efficient supercharging and high-speed output characteristics. The system can also adjust the initial settings.
In addition to offering dedicated turbocharging system kits, Blitz also offers dedicated ECU kits. For customers who have already purchased a Blitz dedicated ECU for Jimny, the service of rewriting the ECU into a dedicated retrofit ECU will be provided without the need to purchase an additional ECU.
It should be noted that high-grade gasoline is required after installation, and it is recommended to replace the spark plug with a size 8 to cope with the high temperature of the engine. Consumables such as gaskets, air intake pipes, gaskets, etc., as well as the removal/installation of engine oil and cooling water circuits, are required for installation.
