Opening remarks

It's the best time to climb Mount Everest. At 7:21 on May 15, 2023, Zeng Xianjie, a lover of Dehua mountaineers, spoke for his hometown and successfully climbed to the top of Mount Everest with the Dehua white porcelain sculpture "Crossing the Sea Guanyin", which contributed to the first meeting between the peak of nature that has stood for hundreds of millions of years and the peak of porcelain carving art that has been inherited for thousands of years.

Mount Everest is there, and it hasn't changed. What remains unchanged for climbers like Zeng Xianjie is the belief to break through themselves and the courage to challenge their limits. In Dehua, there are many porcelain artists like these climbers, who continue to climb the pinnacle of porcelain carving art. For example, the recent Dehua Contemporary Ceramic Art Exhibition shows that Dehua ceramic craftsmen continue to explore modern aesthetic taste, and give full play to the innovative and creative vitality of ceramic culture in traditional skills and modern design.

The WeChat public account of "Porcelain Capital Dehua" launched a series of tweets "Dream Chaser" to promote their pursuit of the pinnacle of art. They are explorers and dreamers, and in the face of challenges again and again, they can still set off bravely and turn the impossible into a possibility.
