Changsha, from the Wangcheng Zebra Lake plate to the south, has been built or is under construction to cross the river, has reached 15.
Among them, Binjiang New Town, nearly 6.8 kilometers of river shoreline, there are 5 river crossing channels. They are:
Second Ring - Trident Bridge
Changwang Road-Fuyuan Road Bridge
Yuelu Avenue & Trinity Avenue - Yinpenling Bridge
Tongzipo Road-Xiangya Road River Tunnel
Xianjiahu Road-Yingpan Road cross-river tunnel
Through satellite mapping, it can be found that the entire riverside skyline, bounded by the current three bridges, can be divided into three parts.
(1) South of Yinpenling Bridge, it occupies the shortest river shoreline, but the river crossing channel is the most dense;
(2) In the middle of Fuyuan Road Bridge and Yinpenling Bridge, the river shoreline is the longest and it is also the core area of the riverside, but there is no river crossing channel at present;
(3) The Trident Bridge-Fuyuan Road Bridge, which occupies about 2.5 kilometers of river shoreline and has no river crossing channel, has not yet been developed and can be ignored for the first time.
So, will the core middle part be crossed?
In fact, as early as 2018, Hunan Xiangjiang New Area proposed the conceptual design of Xiangjiang River crossing channels, a total of four. Among them, there are two that involve Binjiang New Town, which are the plans for the cross-river passage of Tanshan Road and Hanguang Road marked in the above map.
After that, there was no follow-up. Occasionally, a member of the public asked, but only heard his voice, but did not see any movement.
So, do these two river crossings have to be built? Or do you choose one or the other? In 2021, the official of Xiangjiang New Area made it clear that the Tanshan Road plan is better. The details are as follows:
"Hanguang Road, Tanshan Road River Crossing Channel Conceptual Design" is a preliminary research project for the planning of the river crossing channel, after research, Tanshan Road River crossing channel (connecting the river Dongqifeng Road) comprehensive conditions are better, has been included in the "Changsha City Comprehensive Transportation Plan (2017-2035)" in the compilation.
In other words, it is expected that the final choice is one of the two, and the official decision is that the Tanshan Road scheme is better. Therefore, the Tanshan Road cross-river passage must be determined to be repaired, but it still needs to be implemented after determining the cross-river plan!
Recently, some netizens once again asked about the "latest progress of the Tanshan Road River Tunnel". In this regard, the official reply is as follows:
Verified by the Development and Construction Bureau (Transportation Bureau) of the Management Committee of Xiangjiang New Area in Hunan Province, the comprehensive conditions of the Tanshan Road cross-river passage (connecting to Qifeng Road in the east of the river) are better, and it has been included in the "Changsha Comprehensive Transportation Plan (2017-2035)" under compilation. The cross-river channel is a backbone channel involving the east and west banks of the Xiangjiang River, and should be coordinated and constructed at the municipal level.
Regarding the Tanshan Road cross-river channel, it is still the rhetoric of 2021, but how to build it? When was it built? The Xiangjiang New Area clearly stated that because it involves the east bank of the Xiangjiang River, it is a different administrative region and should be coordinated at the municipal level. Therefore, the construction time of this passage is still not clear!
From the perspective of urban planning, the core of Binjiang New Town and the Beichen Delta on the other side are the central areas of Changsha's main city, and their connection and the interconnection of resources between the two "Internet celebrity" areas will be the plus version of finance + commerce!
Therefore, such a passage across the river is actually urgently needed, and its construction is also very meaningful!
