On May 11, Chongqing Fengjie County Glasses Industry Special Investment Promotion Conference and Signing Ceremony was held in Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province. A total of 11 projects were signed, with a total investment of 1.29 billion yuan, involving glasses production, glasses trade, intelligent manufacturing and other fields, after the project reaches production, it can achieve an annual output value of 1.15 billion yuan, an annual tax of 30 million yuan, and provide more than 1,500 jobs. Liu Muping, deputy head of the county government, made a special promotion of Chongqing Fengjie glasses industry. He said that Fengjie is a world-class tourist destination, the first county in the country with navel orange yield, the first batch of innovative counties in the country, China's natural oxygen bar, China's climate livable county, the national garden county, the national health city, and the only glasses industry demonstration base in Chongqing, Chongqing and county collaborative investment demonstration base and western China's glasses industry demonstration base.

More than 100 people from relevant departments at the county level and representatives of enterprises in Wenzhou, Xiamen, Danyang, Shenzhen and other glasses producing areas participated in the event.
It is reported that since 2015, Fengjie has insisted on taking the glasses industry as the leading industry of the county's industrial development, and the county party secretary and county magistrate have personally taken charge to anchor the "10 billion-level glasses industry cluster", and raise the county's strength, gather the county's human, material and financial resources, and gather the county's strength to unswervingly develop the Fengjie glasses industry. At present, Fengjie has signed more than 150 glasses enterprises, 71 of which have been put into production, including 21 enterprises above the designated size, with an output value of 2.3 billion yuan in 2023, which is the largest glasses industry cluster in the west, and the number of glasses enterprises put into operation in Fengjie is expected to exceed 100 in 2024 and 200 in 2025.
