During the one-month ERCP study, she brought back new technologies and projects, and carried out related technologies together with the doctors in the department, bringing hope to many patients with severe cholangitis. I still remember that an 82-year-old grandmother Yang was admitted to the hospital with severe abdominal pain accompanied by chills and high fever, a body temperature as high as 40 °C, and severe yellow staining of the skin and sclera. After improving the relevant examinations, it was suggested that "acute obstructive purulent cholangitis" was present, and it was necessary to immediately undergo ERCP+ENBD surgery to relieve the patient's biliary obstruction. Teacher Yang Mengru, who had just arrived home after the night shift, rushed to the department to work overtime in only 15 minutes after receiving the task, assisting the doctor to successfully indwell the nasobiliary duct for the patient with intervention. It took only 20 minutes from intubation to successful catheterization, which allowed the patient to turn the crisis into safety, and the patient's abdominal pain and high fever symptoms were quickly relieved, and his mental state was good. In 2022, with the trust of hospital leaders, department directors and head nurses, Yang Mengru went to Hunan Provincial People's Hospital again to learn rapid recovery techniques. After 2 months of study, she brought the new concepts she learned to her colleagues in the department and changed everyone's traditional concept of pre- and postoperative measures related to hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, and officially applied the new technology to the clinic in February 2023.
