On May 9, the State Intellectual Property Office issued Announcement No. 580, announcing that "Jinzhai Gastrodia" is a national geographical indication protected product, and the protection will be implemented from now on. This marks the addition of another important intellectual property right to our county.
Jinzhai Gastrodia is one of the Chinese medicinal materials vigorously developed in Jinzhai County, with a long history of planting Gastrodia, mature technology, high yield and excellent quality, and is the main production area and the largest distribution center of Gastrodia gastrodia in China.
Jinzhai Gastrodia belongs to red Gastrodia, registered the National Geographical Indication Certification Trademark in 2014, cultivated the "Anhui Mihuan No. 1" Gastrodia honey ring variety in 2021, and began to declare the protection of geographical indication products in 2018.
By the end of 2023, 8,500 acres of gastrodia will be cultivated in the county, with an output of 28,000 tons of fresh gastrodia. There are 15,000 households and 35,000 people engaged in the production and operation of gastrodia. At present, there are 2 standardized strain factories of gastrodia, and 32 enterprises with an annual processing capacity of more than 50 tons of gastrodia. Since 2019, the China Medicinal Mushroom Market has opened a gastrodia market, and in 2023, 35 markets will be opened, with a trading volume of 2,200 tons, a transaction volume of 310 million yuan, and a comprehensive output value of 1.1 billion yuan.
